I don't think there necessarily needs to be two different threads. There's three different ways to build Splinter Twin but they all discuss strategy in one thread.
I actually feel like the full playset is best. I can't think of a single matchup where you don't want the card and it's not bad in multiples. In fact it's the stone cold nuts having more than one vs aggro.
Just imagine having all three in play at the same time. Creature on top? +1 Domri, reveal land. Play land off top of library, reveal creature. 0 Chandra, play creature. Valuetown.
Any considerations for running Courser, Domri, AND Chandra, Pyromaster in this list? The combination seems brutal. I've been brewing a list with the three and it seems like it has a lot of potential.
The Pyro version in my sig. I love Snag in the list because I can protect my Pyromancer while getting value, bounce opposing creatures, and rebuy Snapcasters. It's been huge game for me in my admittedly limited experience.
Our match against combo is pretty good, to play counterflux we have to replace the Negates in the SB, and Negate can play wider range of decks then counterflux.
Since my meta is full of Trons, I have to be able to counter turn 3 wurmcoil and tron, so 2 mana counter is much more value for me.
Negate can't counter Wurmcoil Engine.
Also, that play is one more reason I run Vapor Snag.
Let's suppose I declare two attackers: Boros Elite and Brimaz. I put the Brimaz trigger on the stack, and it resolves, putting a 1/1 token into play attacking. Does this then trigger the Battalion ability from Boros Elite?
Toying around with the list I am looking to buy and was wondering if Vapor Snag would have any place in a Delver deck?
It does if you have the proper build. A Pyromancer build really likes Vapor Snag. Check out the link in my sig for a decent build that includes those two.
I can't play the deck because I can't get anyone in my area to play Legacy. There are literally no Legacy events within 100 miles of me ever, and I can't convince anyone to start playing even at the kitchen table.
maybe not straight burn, but correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't some kind of RDW appreciate getting damage in while clearing the way for its creatures?
Anyways, doesn't straight burn kinda suck? super sensitive to mana variance and it has like a crapton of ways to answer it
Boros Burn is very well positioned right now. It actually won the last MOCS if I recall.
But at the risk of sounding like a broken record, things like Wurmcoil Engine are another reason I love running Vapor Snag.

The deck has 17 red sources. That's sufficient for a turn three Phoenix, especially with all the scrylands and Magma Jet.
FWIW I think MDU runs 2-3 in his burn list when he pilots it.
