If you want to run Tec edge, you might as well cut cruel ultimatum since it's never going to be cast with it in. If you cut ultimatum then you might as well be playing uwr. Tec edge will hurt cruel control more than help it. What's even more ridiculous is the assumption that polluted delta will enable Tec edge
You need 22 of your sources to produce blue to hit CC 90% of the time on t4 if I'm not mistaken. A sunken ruins or two should help up the consistency or compensation in general. I still don't think we can afford tectonic edge, it's not worth it really. Cruel ultimatum is all colored mana and sacrificing our own mana base isn't where we want to be
I think that the ideal fetches you run should be based on what your t1 plays are. If you're running 4 IOK and 4 Bolt then 4 blootstained mire is going to be ideal. If it's Bolt and spell snare then you're gonna want the set of scalding tarns along side the Deltas. In the end it shouldn't really make a huge difference
I'm all for the 8 fetches philosophy. With enough basics to complement them you end up taking less life that you otherwise would with shocks or from getting your face beat in due to not having a consistent mana base.
Suck it up and move your elitist whining somewhere else please. For every one of you there's 10 more who don't have your collection so try to be a little less obnoxious. Thanks.
You wanna see "elitist", go to the pimp deck thread over at The Source. Those guys could care less, this doesn't affect them, they all have playsets of German foil ONS fetches, those aren't taking a hit. And they already have Beta Power, they don't need to leverage their $40 lands to buy into white bordered Moxes like I do. Those of us in the "middle class" of MTG, we're the ones who lost money tonight, it wasn't the elites at all.
The means we're gonna get the true enemy duals to supplant the recently allied fetches?
I don't want the true duals to get reprinted for my own enjoyment, rather I want to bask in the misery of whoever is dumb enough to
1.) Spend 100 dollars on one card
2.) Sit on said cards without the intention of selling them ever
3.) Complain about their value dropping on the internet
What do you guys think Courser's price will be after rotation? I own 2 and was curious how much my investment might pay off.
I doubt that courser will significantly rise in value just because of fetches. Since you have to pay the life to gain the extra life netted from courser, the only profitable interaction between courser/fetches would either be
. You have 2 or more coursers in play with the cute interaction of netting an entire extra point of life from said fetch
. You have a card on top of your library that you don't want and then crack a fetch, which results in that card being something that you do want (the sequence has to be in that exact order: from undesired card to desired card)
Both are pretty unlikely, especially since it's reasonable to say that each deck wouldn't be carrying any more than 4 fetches
Those are the only two scenarios I can think of, the upsides are only slight/not enough to actually spike courser's value unless I'm missing out on an interaction. The only thing that would really spike its value is courser's effectiveness (not related to the fetch interaction) in the newly developed meta
I think the main gripe here is that whoever actually owns playsets of onslaught fetches probably never planned on selling them in the first place if they're still holding on to them, therefore they're just being overly dramatic. Ya didn't hear it from me though
Supposed to come out late November, the audio in the trailer alone gives me chills. Those who saw it at sundance are raving about how authentically freaky the movie as well.
At first glance I thought it was going to be a generic "haunted house film", but the ensuing audio transformed it into something nightmarish
I think this spoil might be foreshadowing a push towards draw-go strategies in this color, this card screams draw-go. It's close to the same power level as esper charm imo, but I could be wrong
Bile blight is a beast, I don't know why I've never tried it. Also Keranos is way better when you plan on making him active, just saying. Scratch what I previously said, grixis can't really play a u/w ish control game like u/w. Jace, the living guildpact really opens up the viability rakdos's return and enhances thoughtseize by making them way better topdecks. M15 finally gave me a good reason to play grixis with Shivan Reef and the new jace, which is a surprisingly strong card when there is enough surrounding synergy. Just the sheer amount of synergy is the reason why he's better than architect for this build
Just a shell and will be messing around with misers to see if I can optimize it further, otherwise I'm finally content. Too bad just about everything is going to rotate soon and grixis probably won't even be remotely supported post rotation
I don't know about popular opinion but I think magma jet is really good atm.I agree with INS about how crucial draw spells are for pulling ahead, same with his assessment of the scry lands
Has anyone considered playing a U/B heavy version splashing green for garruk? I switched the the draw-go heavy variant in favor of the midrange planeswalker heavy gameplan. Still have to decide whether or not it's worth playing garruk over aetherling

I feel happy just thinking about it

You shoulda sold your playset when you had the chance
