hello. I know i'm extremely late to this conversation. either way, i agree with the people before me that have stated the originator of this challenge is being too much of a stickler.
the reason i stumbled across this thread is i was looking for the term used to describe a card like noxious revival in its relationship to reclaim. i believe i have seen this word in economics and also magic previously but now cannot think of it and it's really annoying me. it's not dominant btw, although that would be a synonym i guess. anyone know the word i'm thinking of?
I am usually happy to see it in my opening hand with or without illusory angel. have you tried this card?
Oh. and the edge of autumn will fix your problem of needing lands that produce only one type of mana as you will be searching for temple gardens.
cycling it does not set off standstill or hesitation, and it would clear the field for your lackeys and instigators
about a month ago i won an auction for a playset of cavern of souls for $50. the seller re-listed the item and flat out told me he wasn't going to send it for that low price. after complaining to ebay multiple times, ebay promised me that if the seller kept doing this a couple times in a short period of time he could get suspended.
my personal story is extreme, but the fact remains that if ebay straight up banned users like my seller or clowns that look for loopholes in other ways buyer experience would be much more positive and there would be no need make new policy screwing legitimate sellers.
i think the deck is pretty cool and am actually in the process of building it myself. best part about it is that there are a bunch of the hybrid mana creatures like bant sureblade, naya hushblade, and marisi's twinclaws, but all of them can be played using just white and green mana. another benifit to this is that they are all pumped twice by wilt-leaf liege.
I know its a little bit of a different direction for your deck but at the very least maybe you can get draw some idea's out of it.
EDIT: oh, and by the way. I disagree about needing card draw. your better off using your turns working toward killing your opponent. plus, you can make this deck cheaper without the current card draw you have. horizon canopy, remand and detention sphere(doesn't draw cards but still replaceable) are the most/only costly parts of the deck all can all be taken out to improve the deck.
I remember getting into playing actual magic by reading sample games from the players guides i had. on a side note, my mom got me my first magic cards because she heard about the game from a radio show. i believe on npr. she passed on some great advise that she heard too. don't trade with the older kids because they know more and will rip you off.
EDIT: how could i forget. Fireball
how have the teetering peaks been working out for you? I usually dont like lands that come in tapped. if you were gonna go that route though, idk how effective it would be but spinerock knoll would be fun. when playing a spinerock knoll you would have a 48% chance of finding a krenko, mob boss, seige gang commander, predator dragon or voracious dragon. it gets activated fairly easily with all the burn your playing. goblin burrows is another option to replace teetering peaks. i probably would go with more plain old mountains. but if you want a little fun with your lands maybe only 2 teetering peaks or utility land.
traitorous blood is the only card you have which needs double red mana. maybe another card with a threaten effect needing only a single red mana could help your mana curve allowing you to need less duals.
i would suggest you go for all goblins with voracious dragon as a win-con or use cards which will make for explosive turns out of no where, meaning ditch thunder-thrash elder. without haste or evasion it will likely not lead to much damage. I recommend some combination of voracious dragon, predator dragon, clickslither, or goblin chieftain.
If you go the goblins route, without getting into the more expensive cards, gempalm incinerator and goblin goon seem to fit your deck.
neither royal assassin or shambling remains seem like good fits here. i'm not sure hypnotic specter does either even though i love that card.
