    Ok,

So with Repercussion on the board along with a Soulfire Grand Master and everyone else having TWO creatures.....

I fire off a Blasphemous Act which now has lifelink. I take 13 damage but instantly gain 13 life so its a wash. Everyone else take 26 damage and I gain 26 life per person.

I just need to make sure I'm not cheating this Saturday when I play this deck against my group

I don't understand how you can only pay part of a cumulative upkeep on repercussion. Sorry, I must be dense

Repercussion is a Boros Reckoner for all, I get that. Out of curiosity, If you played things like Mogg Maniac Spitemare with a repercussion out, do the triggers stack or am I not understanding the cards. I'm just trying to wrap my head around how the deck actually functions so I don't go into a game without a clue

Hate to necro, but the thread was hijacked into R/w/u towards the end.

I am interested in turning this into a Repercussion deck but keeping it r/w.

Also, all the Repercussion decks are 5-6 years old now aside from this one. There is a ton of good info in here, but no one put up the definitive 4-5 person meta crush the table list. Anyone got a formidable decklist, or is it really just missing jamming repercussions in and dropping four other cards??

Something close to this. The manabase can be whatever you can afford even if it's just something like 4x Wind-Scarred Crag, 4x Boros Guildgate and then a split of Mountain + Plains. Clearly if you own/can afford better alternatives then you should field those instead.

Varchild's War-Rider is "fine" but that number could also be shaved if you wanted to make room for other cards.

As for the burn suite the only must-haves are 4x B.Act with everything else being somewhat flexible. That being said you really want cards that hit fliers because you're very reliant on Swans to draw you a ton of cards and so you can't really justify things like Earthquake. With that in mind cards like Slagstorm are eminently reasonable and so by no means are you require to play the exact 12 that I posted.

In all my testing Aetherflux Reservoir has proven to be the single best 1-card win condition for SFGM builds which is why I don't bother with things like Elixir of Immortality or other finishers. It's not 100% to get the job done but in any game in which you curve SFGM into B.Act then you usually have the life required to kill enough players. Not always enough to Death Star another 4 but the reality is that you usually don't need to. Just kill the ones who can actually beat you and finish the others off "the fair way" if needed.

    Hi Prid3
Death Star! Sounds like a great name for the deck. The deck list looks pretty solid. Do you have any other options in terms of spells or creatures that I may want to try testing before I decide on the "perfect 60". I can always work on the numbers, but I am just drawing blanks in terms of synergy as this isn't a deck in my normal repertoire. Basically I just need a few more options before I start jamming and seeing what sort of lines I actually enjoy playing.

What am I missing about Blue Sun's Zenith?

It's really good with infinite mana because it wins the game on the spot against any number of adversaries.

Draw you entire deck, and then force everyone else to draw theirs. No you can't play it in our meta, infinite rules and all.....nice try

    Kain

You hit the nail on the head. 3 player games remind me of bonus levels in Mortal Kombat..... two players wail on each other and then the third pounces and cleans up. Almost a waste of time.

I like 4-5 player FFA myself. I find 8 player games difficult to keep moving. Inevitable someone breaks out there phone or some other distraction.

    Will check out Shandalar

I try to keep my decks capable of both, but it's a tough thing to do.

I tend to play more MP than duals now, it was the other way around before....so I bring a sideboard of cards to put in/out depending on dueling or playing FFA

Forge? Is this the new software instead of Cockatrice?

Our group is all trying to find a way to abuse this card in a knight deck, but we have all run into issues finding cards to abuse.

WotC really needs to give knights some proper love and on theme....

    That green decklist looks fun.

Because Knight Tribal isn't viable enough as is? Grin
I think I'd probably start with Juniper Order Ranger and go from there, though I doubt it'd end up a true Knight Tribal deck (probably just something utterly loaded with +1/+1 counters instead). Smile

Would love to abuse panharmonicon with Thalia's Lieutenant and Recruiter of the Guard

Therein lies the problem with knights. Aggro - midrange in 4 player FFA is ok, but knights play "fair" in a Magic world that has become grossly harsher towards fair decks.

Especially if you want to keep on theme for flavor. I am at the point of trying to make concerted effort and light from within work. They do to a degree, but I am not sure the power is there for the long game

Nice to see you brewing blue, a color that our group hasn't experimented with. So far it's been the typical Goblins/purphorous decks, Devotion/187 creatures and Green (anything coming into play) with or without LP decks.....

Card is filthy and utterly broken and were not even attempting to be degenerate with it. Were just doing the "obvious" stuff

It's a house in Cube as well.

I occasionally play a deck with Impact Tremors and Purphoros in it, but I play a mono-red version with Goblins.
It's a traditional goblin deck running the regular core of Goblin Matron, Goblin Ringleader, Mogg War Marshal & Krenko, Mob Boss to multiply.
Having a haste enabler to make the most of Krenko is best, I use Goblin Chieftain, but Goblin Warchief is good too.

I play something similar as well. I also added Purphoros, God of the Forge Impact tremors and Panharmonicon. It wipes the table if things aren't removed immediately as it gets out of control very fast

Sorry to necro, but this thread had good discussion and it's a shame to see such a popular and frequently asked about deck fall by the wayside.

Wanted to ask PRIDE a couple of questions since he is well versed in mono black decks.

How did heartless Summoning turn out for you? What is your current deck list looking like now?

I am looking to bring a mean MBD deck BACK to the kitchen table for those times when we don't cube. Nothing infinite, but degenerate and dirty (think, the type of deck that won't win friends) is most welcome

The list is different and I DELETED it on CT in error. I have uploaded it again, and linked to the new list. Somehow we are missing a card, and on CT the editions are all messed up of course. We might have to go over this via phone or if you can come over this weekend, we could run a few games Jam

Good Banter. We run most of the usual suspects in our cube and the effect probably IS better most of the time if comes attached to a creature of some sorts for the obvious reasons. 7CC is a high cost to pay to have to wait until your next turn to receive any benefit.
