Everdream is one of my favorite of the newest cards. Card draw is always potent, and even just using it to add card draw to cards like Swords to Plowshares in the late game seems good.
Tale's End is pretty good. What do you think about Squelch? It's less flexible but drawing a card off of it seems powerful. Flood of Tears would be worth it if we ran powerful permanents like Omniscience, so other control decks might like it. Lotus Field is rather expensive (dollar-wise) even though it's good with a land reanimation package.
With Scheming Symmetry and Head Games, I have hope for more interesting cards that could enable Tasigur once more.
I actually do have a playset of Precursor Golems now that you mention it. If I wanted to go off brand for my tokens, I think the winning move is to get a bunch of Golem pokemon cards.
Do you at least have a pile of Precursors to use as your Precursor tokens? I don't mind the SoM tokens since they are metallic and look fresh from the forge (like from Golem Foundry). Cardamajigs also often has great tokens, especially for stuff like Hippos.
I have been tempted to run it just because it can potentially draw you a lot of cards without any mana investment, in something like Queen Marchesa where they'll attack you to steal the crown away.
I rather enjoy playing stax every once in a while, it forces a shift in gameplay that normally is not there and makes people rethink things. If they can not handle that, just cast a Death Cloud and laugh anyways.
So I decided to revisit a deck that has been sitting in my signature, a much older deck, and give it a few updates! Skeleton Key: An obvious choice. Thaumatic Compass: flips to become the Spires of Orazca, a part of the Golden City, which then fits this theme far better than Phyrexian Arena. Brass's Bounty, Revel in Riches, Spell Swindle: Treasure Tokens!
Some clue token makers as well.
Edit: Also, Kess, Dissident Mage would probably be a more fitting Commander, seeing how she's a human rather than a vampire. Changing that could open up more room since haste is not really necessary.
I run a stax package to help protect my walkers, and some of these new cards are fantastic to add: Kasmina, Enigmatic Mentor protects your boardstate, makes tokens, and loots Spark Double, well, doubles down on a lot of what you want to be doing. Evolution Sage needs no discussion. Flux Channeler acts as a blocker and also helps proliferation shenanigans with almost every spell. Teferi, Time Raveler offers removal, carddraw, and slows opponents down. Ashiok, Dream Render kills gy shenanigans which can get through some stax via ignoring casting costs, and prevents tutoring, stopping ramp, opponents looking for answers, etc. Dovin, Hand of Control slows down opponents and protects via his -1. Kiora, Behemoth Beckoner untaps a land and is very cheap. That might not seem like much, but she ensures you can pay for Stasis.
The uncommons are some of the stuff I am most excited for in this.
One set of cards none of you mentioned that would be great are the small ones that can sacrifice themselves to add mana, like Blood Pet or Basal Thrull. Not only can they enable earlier Massacres if you need them, they can also help set off the chains themselves .

Here's the OG version.
In mono-blue, there's Hermetic Study, Psionic Gift, Thornbite Staff, and the usual tools to make sure it is not blocked (unblockable, removal).
