Oct 2, 2015knto posted a message on The Magic Street Journal: Wizards Always Hurts The Ones They LoveWhile I agree with most of the article, specifically the part about speculation, I think you were a bit off the mark on pucatrade. Obviously it is a business that is intended to make money, but from what I have seen they do so by providing a service. The value of pucapoints is held relatively constant despite new users joining. The reason they offer rewards for inviting is 2 fold: 1 it brings in new players which not only means more people to potentially spend money but also a larger trading pool for all of the users, and 2 It allows for the introduction of more points into the system which is vital to keep it from failing as a micro economy (if there aren't enough points no one can afford cards and so no trading happens. This is a direct result of the price controlling but it is preferable in my mind than opening the market up to speculation). The point that "Pucatrade claims that pucapoints 'are not a virtual currency'" but that it is in fact one is much more accurate. I suspect it mas more to do with the legal implication of a currency than actively deceiving the user base. I regularly trade online and pucatrade has worked out fine for me. If you are looking for rare cards then you're going to have trouble finding them just like a regular trade system, but pucapoints make it a little easier since you don't have to have cards off their wants list. I have used the service to get rid of cards I wasn't using and to get cards that I wanted or needed plenty of times and am satisfied with the service but it is slower than a store and it takes forever to get someone to send you older cards. You can argue that it is run poorly and you could even argue that the service actually hurts the users instead of heloing them but comparing it to bit coin or saying it is a ponzi scheme is just wrong. The only people I know who are even dissatisfied with the service are people who had ridiculous expectation or who felt that trading moderators handled situations badly.Posted in: Articles

That would do you some good. Then maybe you would understand that instants aren't free because you can cast them eot' and that losing a turn to sit with two lands untapped that you may never use is a hard call when you're not spamming gitaxian probes.
Add 4 mulch and two more trackers instinct they are the best self mill cards out there.
Wreath of geists is also less than stellar and I would just drop it unless you were to run it with invisible stalker. It way be suitable as a sideboard card versus decks with no access to removal but only if you have trouble with a particular one.
You have have too many ghoultrees you shouldn't have more than 2 probably.
You might also consider Gnaw to the Bone as a 1 or more of depending on how you want your deck to play.
I would also play 2 more deranged assistants over the screeching scarab.
The Rakdos drawback is even worse as he forces you to play into sweepers while Messenger helps you recover from them. I know what my choice will be.[/QUOTE]
I've played messenger in a 3 color deck quite successfully. You just have to commit your manna base to it and live with the fact that your lands won't always come into play untapped.
well maybe they should run Curse of the Pierced Heart and stop whining.
Edit: I need to start reading cards before I post things.
Victim of the night is likely to see play. Tragicslip can also take care of him as can o-ring and o-ring 2.0. tamiyo is also pretty effective versus him though probably weak against the rest of the deck. also cackling counterpart is getting a lot of hype due to the populate mechanic so it will be around too.
Edit: Forgot cackling counterpart only hit your creatures. looks like we're stuck using clone. And of course by using i mean not using.
Delver probably won't be a deck any more. It will be replaced with something similar though.
Definitely true. Rakdos has still gotten the shaft. If only rakdos charm, return of rakdos, ash zealot, slaughter games, and deadbore were standard playable.
edit: not to mention Cerulean Wisps added onto that would be ridiculous. 2 mana of any color for U and a draw.
Kiss is sorcery speed and blue sun did see play. Your argument is invalid.
yah it seems pretty strong. I'm not sure why so many people are complaining about it. It's not a concecrated sphinx but the fact that it is instant speed and gains life makes it very playable. I think people are to used to the delver archetype for control where everything has to be a 1-4 mana spell.
But if you are doing 4 plus a turn you would be better off with removal. It competes for the three slot with messenger and Lillian and quite frankly just doesn't stand up to the competition. The only time this card will be worthwhile is the same turn you drop a vexing devil and even then the bare minimum your opponet has to is bounce it and your sick combo was wasted. It would have been good with stormblood berserk but seeing how that is rotating...
If you've ever played with a war elemental then you know these kinds of cards are bad. At least it says life lost.
