First, i want to say that i really like low cost cards. So i compiled a list of some i played over the years with great success. With over 200+ entries i roughly sort my list. Maybe this will inspire you.
after our last EDH session my friend was frustrated with his deck and his performance. He claimed that his winrate is to low compared to the rest of the table and we started to look into it.
He has built a Jeskai Spellslinger Deck. The Goal is to throw a wrench into the engine of the other decks by exiling their stuff, burning down their house and finish in a big explosion with cards like Thousand-Year Storm or Manadorks + Jeskai Ascendancy.
Let me say that his deck is definitely fun to play against and 100% capable of killing other players, but he is running out of gas to finish the whole table and so he is like 2nd or 3rd most of the time. Shu Yun, the Silent Tempest is not his first choice as commander but after he tried out every available option expect from the partner commanders he is sticking with him. I hope WotC will give us some new interesting commanders for Jeskai soon.

Budget is no concern for me, but this deck is more of a 75% deck than a high-end competitive build.
This deck is a slow, value-driven Battlecruiser deck focusing on nuking the board over and over, gaining an advantage from blinking, cloning and reanimating good creatures. If the game goes to long you can end with various combo's.
Earlygame:
Develop your mana and start playing utility creatures. This helps you laying the foundation for the whole game. Mana can be a bit trick, as we mostly use landramp. We don't mind nuking our creatures but loosing our manabase is harsh.
Midgame:
Everyone should have developed their board, so we can start resetting the game with our nukes. Don't be afraid to use Child, we can get it back easy.
Remember to turn your Creatures sideways if you see an opening. Even 2 or 3 damage can sum up over the game.
Card draw and reanimation is importent in this stage, keep the ressources flowing.
Endgame:
Time to use our big spells to gain an massive advantage. We are a battlecruiser deck, so start going for big chunks of your opponents lifetotal.
Remember that Child is a 6/6 trample, so killing with commanderdamage is a valid option.
And we have some combos to end the game.

Reveillark + Karmic Guide / Body Double / Saffi Eriksdotter / Phantasmal Image / Clever Impersonator + Yahenni, Undying Partisan / Greater Good
Fairly known combo by now allows you to recylce your creatures over and over.
Sun Titan + Animate Dead / Dance of the Dead / Necromancy / Phantasmal Image + Greater Good
Draw your deck, discard combo pieces and start other synergies.
Kederekt Leviathan + Animate Dead / Dance of the Dead / Necromancy
You want Devastation Tide with buildin buyback for 2 or 3 mana? You got it.
Eternal Witness + Ghostway / Living Death / Timewarp
Extra turns or EtB value. Throw in other combo's or pieces for synergies.

So thanks for your list.
Have you tried Worm Harvest? It has some nice synergies with Armageddon, Cataclysm, Smokestack, Humility, Life from the Loam, Skullclamp, Gaea's Cradle, Grave Pact, Evolutionary Leap, Trading Post, Contamination and of course your General and your Fetch/LD-Lands.
If you don't like Erebos atm and you feel like you have no need for more draw i would try Nature's Claim. 1 cmc removal is never wrong.
