R&D’s choice of words has proven to be a huge barrier to marketing (which has hamstringed storytelling). Specifically the terms “plane” and “planeswalker”. The first both has an already cemented, real life definition and is a homonym. (To make matters worse, it’s a homonym for a basic land type). The second (derived from the first), is a hideous assembly of letters that has no meaning to anyone save the thoroughly indoctrinated. And even then, it’s awkward. I can hear the creative meeting now...
“Skywalker worked, therefore planeswalker will too.”
Hence, in order to compensate, they have to overdo the branding of ‘walkers by cramming them down everyone’s proverbial throats through Disney compliant storylines.
5C Slivers isn’t out of the question and would lower some prices. Also, Slivers are very attractive to players new to Commander and new players in general.
Squirrels aren’t unlikely. It’s one of the most beloved tribes of all of Magic fandom. The only reason it hasn’t been supported until very recently is because some alpha nerd at WotC thought Squirrels aren't serious enough for Standard sets.
Probably a Snow deck, which would be cool.
And a colorless deck possibly featuring Constructs and Modular.
I like the idea of a Sliver deck, but I think it has a lot of issues that hold it back. First and foremost is the old Sliver rule text that benefits all slivers on the board. To me, this is a huge problem, especially if they make them readily available in a PreCon. Imagine a bunch of players sitting down and 3/4 of them are playing Slivers. To me, it sounds like a complicated game from the start. As much as I would love to see it happen, I think it's a little far out.
The same goes for squirrels... Do they have enough support to be their own thing?
They probably wouldn’t use the Slivers with the old wording. There is not enough Squirrel support, but they could flesh it out with new stuff in the deck.

1. Who may drop the first permanent via Braids' ability? I assume the ability runs clockwise starting with the player to my immediate left but am unsure.
2. Who may drop the last permanent via her ability? I assume it's me but again am unsure.
3. If there is an order to the effect, can a player opt to skip putting a permanent onto the battlefield only to do so at a later time?
I’m holding a live multiplayer Brawl tournament (with prize support) on July 20th at a local shop. I find it interesting and satisfying that so many players (even Spikes) want to enter despite the bad press the format has received online. I’ll also be playing in the tournament, legendary themed Orzhov with Sorin, Vengeful Bloodlord at the helm, whose static goes very well with Command the Dreadhorde.
Could you elaborate some? What would you change about our moderation style?
Stop being thought police. Sometimes it’s like 1984 around here. For example, Person-A can call Person-B a “Nazi” with impunity, but B gets infracted for using the abbreviation “SJW”. My point isn’t that negative terminology should be permitted, but that moderators should moderate with equity, rather than favoring one group and alienating another. That sort of moderating has directly resulted in many decent members leaving the site for good. Members that were deemed toxic because they had different views than the moderators. 🙂
Saw a guy wreck a draft with Parhelion. The last play of the final game was attacking with Parhelion. It was a glorious sight. Even the runner up enjoyed it.
Also thank you for letting us know when advance that the site will be closing instead of doing unannounced “maintenance” like the TCG player custom card forms has been undergoing for the past seven years.
I’d settle for a 1/4.

There will be a new site with new ownership but many of the same mods and styling as here.

“Check!”
“Shelter?”
“Check!”
“Clothing?”
“...”
“Clothing!?”
“...”
Will we be allowed to debunk this sort of slander on the new site without being unpersoned?
