Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma3G Legendary Creature — Bear (Rare)
Creature spells you cast with power 4 or greater cost 2 less to cast.
Whenever Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma attacks, each creature you control with power 4 or greater gets +1/+1 and gains trample until end of turn. You don't want to know how she got that name.
4/3
is Qal Sisma a place in Tarkir? If not they named it wrong. Also can Surrak fight this bear please?
I think he did fight this bear, Qal Sisma is in Tarkir. It Khans the bear died and became part of his clothes...in the new timeline that never happened? or at least the bear didn't die.
Doesn't this only partially hose tron as the other lands still see Urza's Tower on the battlefield and still produce 2? The tower would loze it's type and ability but not it's name, otherwise this enchantment would stop working. So an opponent would still have 5 mana with tron and you would just color fix any spells they have like nature's claim. This just seems bad compared to blood moon.
The Tron lands work by land sub-type and not name. Urza's Tower has the subtype Urza's Tower which it loses with this land so this will break up Tron entirely.
Ahhh, I have only ever seen the original cards, I didn't realize they changed how they work.

Weird I guess that other art wasn't Vaevictis, but this looks close enough to his Legends card.
ter
My Palladia Mors prediction is looking better now
Tried to tell you the spiral horns they describe in the story went with that other art. Vaevictus always had a fin and not horns
Well there goes that idea DOH!
Wonder what that picture is of......Arcades? Or just some random dragon?
I'm thinking more toward random dragon. The faces have been pretty close to the originals and that dragon does not look like Arcades Sabboth
A 4/4 Bolas feels really weird.
CMC 4 Bolas feels really weird.
Considering that Vaevictis Asmadi, the Dire and Nicol Bolas, the Ravager both seem to be part of a cycle of 6/6 dragons for CMC 6, everything above feels really weird.
In the first story, it says Bolus is a runt so a 4/4 compared to a 6/6 would make sense. Now if they added a few lines to the story to accommodate a change from development could be possible.
Probably the card that searches for Vivien since planeswalker decks usually have two rares that do this. They have not been spoiled yet, but I thought GP Vegas was having some sort of planeswalker deck event so I expect them to be opened and shared sometime this weekend.
Unfortunately, while cute attempts, those don't actually work. All that would manage to do is to kill the new Flip-Bolas.
Transform is a very specific instruction, to turn the permanent over, so the other face is up. Note this happens without it leaving the battlefield and re-entering, it just changes the characteristics of the permanent. But as the other side is a Planeswalker, that would mean it has no loyalty counters (Unless you found some way to put counters on him BEFORE trying this.) so Bolas would just be sent to the graveyard due to State-Based Actions.
That is why Bolas (and all the Origin Flip-Walkers), exile themselves first, before returning them transformed. So they can re-enter the battlefield as Planeswalkers, with loyalty counters.
He just forgot to add Oath of Gideon, but for all that work I would rather just pay the mana.
Cool card, but I honestly like the other versions of Bolas better. Flipped he doesn't even deal with creatures by himself, which I find strange. Completely misread that. He is a killer. I like him a bit better now. Still very hard to flip and protect, but if he did instant flip would be too good.
Likewise, if you're afraid of veering too close to the primeval dragons, then try distancing yourself from the attacking/combat damage template.
Yes. imo, the XXYYZZ mana costs and XYZ upkeep costs would make them feel like the original Elder Dragons rather than the prime dragons. But loosen up the cycle by varying the triggers/activations.
Maybe changing them to upkeep trigger that has the mana payment option?
I really like all of these, Vaevictis the most. Good job.
I was thinking the next masterpieces would be in the core set. That would create a huge incentive for people to buy the set beyond the new players that it is aimed for.

Oops, saw that as plansewalker...guess he does kill anything lol
