What`s everyone thoughts on Contamination? It seems like a decent fit in this deck although you might occasionally not be able to cast a few non black vampires.
I guess it would be good if you ran a mono Black deck with Edgar, which is certainly doable. My list contains too many white and red cards.
Reid posted a list on channel fireball that runs no Bobs, 2 Seasoned Pyromancers, and 4 Bloodbraid Elves.
That rascal!
No Bob Multi Wrenn builds are actually the latest trend in Modern Jund builds, both online and in paper. As much as Wrenn and Six has tended to disappoint me in my testing of her in Jund, Bob matches up poorly against her, Lava Dart, and Gut Shot.
I’m working on a build that has 2 Wrenn and 4 Bobs. We have discard to protect Bob, and Goyf matches up poorly against Fatal Push. I’ve always found that “x dies to removal” is a bad argument, and Bob can help us gain card advantage and find our sideboard cards in games 2 and 3.
A teammate and me went to neighbouring Italy for the Paupergeddon big tourney in Pisa. There were 214 or people or so, and we went with Rakdos Control (buddy) and Corrupt Control (me). He went 4 - 3 - 1, but would have done better if the universe didn't decide to mess us up and pair him against me in one of the rounds. I did better, and ended up 32.
I certainly could've done better but I ran into an Atog-Fling combo in round 2 - it's an affinity with nothing but Atog, Fling, eggs and filtering, and lost 2 - 0. Then when I climbed up into top 16 I ran into an Izzet Delver and drew with the guy (if I had just a little more time I would've won, and I think I messed up in the game I did lose). This then got ugly because I fell back down and got paired with another Izzet Delver which turned out to be my worst matchup and lost to that too. With a little bit more luck - such as being paired with literally anything else as I was easily handling Tron, for example - I think I could've been at least in the top 8. Well, I hope my luck turns out better next time.
I thought Corrupt Control had a good matchup against Delver and a bad matchup against Tron?
Additionally if you can counter a spell that other players at the table want countered, you can earn brownie points. If you bounce or destroy a permanent that is annoying other players, you earn brownie points.
As long as Looting powers up different types of deck (as hogaak/dredge and phoenix are), Wizzie won't ban it.
There won't be any emergency ban. It would crash the already small confidence some people have in Wizards. At end of August probably Hogaak summer will end and a new meta will come. Then Eldraine come and we will reset the meta again. Stagnant is not what modern has been recently!
DRS was played in Jund, Pod, dredge, elves, etc. and it got the ban.
So in GP Minneapolis Hogaak was almost 20% percent of the field on day one, the Top 16:
1. Hogaak
2. Hogaak
3. Mono Red Prowess
4. Hogaak
5. Hogaak
6. Burn
7. Hogaak
8. Humans
9. Eldrazi Tron
10. Hardened scales
11. Mono Red Phoenix
12. Mono Red Phoenix
13. Hogaak
14. Mono Red Phoenix
15. Hogaak
16. Merfolk
5 of top 8 and 7 in top 16.
IMHO it seems an emergency ban is required, other decks were running 6-8 hate pieces and it wasn't enough. With the last two modern GP's of the year in just 2 weeks I wonder if WotC wants to see the events being so warped around hogaak.
Not only that, but mono red Phoenix and mono red prowess play faithless looting, so that’s 11 faithless looting decks in the top 16.
What’s with people wanting expensive reprints in precons? I buy these to get new cards and ready-to-play decks in case I have new players to teach. So far the decks have served such purposes.
Okay, but if that's the case then why the price increase from $30 to $40? The last commander deck I bought was the Edgar Markov one, I'm pretty sure it can beat any of the $40 decks, and it had Teferi's Protection in it.

Also, Wrenn is a woman?

Additionally, you could play some group hug cards, or cards that encourage a player to attack another player, like:
Additionally if you can counter a spell that other players at the table want countered, you can earn brownie points. If you bounce or destroy a permanent that is annoying other players, you earn brownie points.
Not only that, but we’ve never seen a meta with Fatal Push and Twin.
But I expect they’ll go the ban route instead.

If only there were answers...
