What I'm curious to know is, what do you guys speculate on the market for these two cards? I've heard that foil shocks hold their value and I may hold on to the Godless Shrine for awhile and I'm unsure about the potential value peak for Sphinx's Revelation.
Eh I'd rather get my moneys worth than play in the first place, and if I had to choose between the two it'd still be Obzedat. Even though he's 20 dollars, Obzedat may be 20 dollars now but there is a chance he'll drop in value but a nm foil Domri will most likey hold it's value I didn't factor in protectors so I see your point.
Well, it's not like Domri is a dead card in Limited.
Obzedat is a much better choice, but a foil Domri could triple your money to play in the draft. 2 mythic packs don't happen very often. To myself, personally, it'd be a difficult pick. It woild be nice to have a foil PW, at the same time it'd be nice to win.
In limited, there isn't much you can do about Obzedat unless you can trade with another creature or block with a smaller creature and Smite him.
Domri is easier to remove, but why would you play with a 30 dollar card in the first place?
You didn't have to reply you know. I just thought It'd be interesting to see who would drop a limited gamewinner and potentially win more packs, or drop the money and chance a loss.
If your goal is to win, then then take ghost council (he should be called OBVzedat) because I can't say more than the fact that its an obvious pick.
If you like money then take domri I suppose?
Might want to suggest to WoTC about reprinting Obzedat in The friends block and changing the name to that. I still can't believe Obzedat is so good in limited. I got stomped by him two games in a row 4 rounds. Wasn't mu idea of a fun pre release.
I forgot to add some green and blue to the commons. I'd also pick obzedat. He's a beast and wins games by himself, but it'd be hard to pass up on the foil Domri.
If you're wanting to make money to buy singles, buying sealed is never a smart idea. If you want to draft, then fine. Buy Innistrad. The lands are unique to that set only, and it has 3 chase cards that are played in eternal formats.
I'm not expecting to make my money back from a box. I can charge friends 10 dollars for 3 packs or trade to other people for cards I want if they have it. The only card I really want right now is Tamiyo, The Moon Sage. Everything else I want is under 5 dollars.
Sealed products may be a bad idea but drafting is well worth it to me.
I just find other sets having better cards right now. Gatecrash is a cool set I just don't find it worth the money, as there isn't very many cards I'm looking for.
Innistrad and RtR have better cards for what I like to play.
Yea, I figured it was modern playable. Not so much standard right now with Aggro moving in thanks to Gatecrash.

Your first pack is;
How do you proceed? What is your first pick and why?

Kamigawa has some fun cards from the few I've played with. If I had the money I'd draft a block instead of just a single set.
