Good content over there.....but why is this current topic/deck in the Standard Archives?? Can we port parts of that thread over here?

Just a thought......having played this deck extensively before ENM, and wanted to to update with the possibility of Emerge and emerge targets.

Skyspawner has merit, but it literally dies to everything (especially to new lili)....so what about added 4x Hanweir Garrison and Hanweir Battlements...
it live thru Koz Return, and can require removal from OP, the combo with Battlement is pretty real in this deck (as well as Battlement is pretty juicy on all creatures, and it taps for colorless)....if nothing else(Garrison) its a good emerge target for EDF. thoughts?

Summer magic is always such a silly season...and wotc like to feed it pretty hard with most of the 'core' releases.. but this may be to last of that once we get to more frequent rotations...
that said- the Rally deck is hilarious!

lol...well count me among those wanting Tron to win the next several GP then....and of course with Amulet respectfully placing 2nd right alongside of Tron> this way we might be able to kill 2 birds with one stone.

Isn't the fact that everyone knows which card it is, cards weren't shuffled, relevant?

Not really, since the definition of a card going into the hand is the card touching the other cards in your hand, regardless of if you're holding them or they're face down on the table. Sucks when it happens, since it takes away from good games, but it is the correct ruling.

Does this same rule apply when someone was hell bent prior to drawing the card?

It's repairable if you were hellbent or the entire contents of your hand were public knowledge due to something like a Thoughtseize.

Is this a rule that need updating or is it OK as it currently stands.

In the case of chapin, I think the ruling Was correct however unfortunate, earlier in the same match/game chapin resolved a Read the Bones much the same way and put them to hand without reveal (with courser in play) and stated 'I'm taking these' and then revealed the cards...I know they were hastily playing due to trying to get the game complete before timing and st the urging of judges, but I believe even chapin would state he needed to be clearer in his actions.

Gerald said in an interview he would cut a land...so thats 1 spot for something...

I love BUG (back in day BUG..deathrite,delver,goyf,bob..aka: money.dec, was such a fun and punishing deck to play)...
I like his brew and think most every numbers are very good...I don't remember seeing him cast Damnation, so I'm not entry sure its right for MB..but Like someone else said..he just won with it and carved thru 800pp...so theres that.

This is really the problem in Modern, after a banning, there is simply the call/requirement (depending upon interpretation) for more bans. That means that the bans aren't really fixing things.

....True^....imho this loops us back to the PT which forced modern's hand for a banning/unbanning to the sake of entertainment...granted TC was going either way....but I think wotc missed the boat (no pun intended) on Siege Rhino...hopefully we get some unbannings to help with the balance of the format come March (outside of hive mind or Pacts ban).
