The people in this thread arguing that salt isn't good against tron are tron players being completely biased. I have never lost to tron after resolving salt, it completely takes the rhythm of the deck off-kilter and forces them to play a game they are ill-suited to play. Also, I play salt in a naya deck that plays birds of paradise and wall of roots, it's hardly ever a turn 4 play and almost always a turn 3 play. Not to mention it's only a sub-par turn 4 play if they've tron'd you by turn 3, their slower draws are just as susceptible to a turn 4 salt. I'd also like to point out that no one is arguing that fulminator, molten rain, or stony silence aren't equal if that not better options, we're simply stating that salt is excellent against tron - and pretty back-breaking on turn 3.

I think many people are underrating his value - I think he will be a beast in Standard. People are already building Naya, despite missing two guilds, because of the power of Thrag/Huntmaster/Resto. In the right Naya deck this guy will consistently draw you a card, give you value creatures for his fight ability, like Thragtusk, and have solid synergy with either Garruk. I see him as being a solid 1 or 2 of in any Naya deck.
