My opponent casts Languish and I have Emrakul's Evangel and two scion on the table. Can I tap and sac my dudes and get 3 3/2 eldrazi horror out of it? I am because the thopters tokens off hangerback walker stick around but was wondering because the evangel's is a sac effect, how does it work on my he stack against wrath of God too?
I was reading the rules of emerge the mechanic from the latest set and notice that it actually states these cards are colorless regardless if the emerge cost is paid. So my question is can I have Elder Deep-Fiend in my all colorless Emrakul, The Promised End EDH deck? Does the blue in the emerge cost effect the cards color identity when regarded commander builds?
Omnath, Yeva, Surrak, Autumn Willow I have thought about all these but have never built mono green commander. My best advice is to find what you like about fresh that isn't a main thing and try to make it a thing.
Allanon, There are a lot of options, but with one green and infinite colorless you can go old school with Stream of Life and just continue to have fun while your opponents try to crack that conundrum
Looks pretty solid however ashnods alter + Nim deathmantle does not give you black mana infinite only colorless. [card]phyrexian alter[card] and ashnods alter together/ whatevs. Seems worth having the infinite drain combo in there as a "it can happen" type win. Still deciding how many creatures is good 25-30ish? Getting delirium should be easy with self mill. Protecting it is another story
Search for Odric in standard because he makes your weenie army in standard boss as long as they have keywords/. Extremely versatile in EDH and standard, yet to be seen tho, could be good in other formats, too bad Karakas is banned in EDH
Meld reminds me of that card from unglued, yeah you know which I'm talking about. We'll see if this is easy in standard, lends itself to white, white black, possibly into green. Def a mana hungry tutor deck that doesn't exist in standard
Grave Titan is good if you move into midrange for sure. Thing is, you need more spells vs creatures sometimes so that is a challenge to figure out in modern. Ghoultree looks ok, so does Jarad, but it def changes this actual archtype. I been looking into bringing back a constellation strategy with delirium as a possibility for this deck.
I like the core creature list, seems like nantuko husk should make its way into this. Green black and black seems like solid routes. I like putting abrupt decay in my decks. But seriously what is a good mana curve for this? Like 8-10 1 drops 12 two drops? 12 three drops? 4-6 four drops? What's over 4 that is good? Obviously gray Merchant of asphodel what else is truly worth it. Kalitas sounds good in this too.
When I was a kid I started playing magic during the dark and this card was already a popular chase but everybody knew that sol ring, black lotus and the moxes are better in colored strategy.
I too pulled one of these and was a bit shocked. I showed it too my mom and told her I was gonna sell it and she told me the artwork was too cool and keep it. I think I will, this is the card if you draw will give you that competitive edge against crazy ramp if you are playing non green just to name one of the positives.
Artwork is cool if any 'rares' are worse than this I prob not buy very much in fear of getting multiple bad rares. That's what happened when MM2 came out and I went to buy packs
Well my local store isn't getting too much so I doubt they will do a draft. Packs are going to be stupid expensive. Like playing the lottery, prob not worth it.
