From my standpoint, the last two years have spoiled me as a limited player due just insane removal suites like rtr and gtc. RTR felt a little too interactive with so much removal but it was kind of nice because you could find "the right play". Even m13 (my favorite draft format in the last 10 years) had an INSANE removal suite.
I understand that cheap removal destroys bestow... but sometimes that is a lesson to teach new players, "enchantments are bad (unless they are nuts like mark and unflinching) m'kay".
I will have to play test on cockatrice but my initial analysis is that build your own fatty will be the only deck to play and it will all be a matter of who can do it better.
These are a couple of examples of nearly unplayable removal spells. Maybe this format is really really slow (judging by greens creatures I don't think it will be) and you can pay 5 mana to deal 4 damage to only a creature (or... dear god... pay 8 to do 5 damage....). There are still solid removal spells like spear, and all the mirror hate removal spells are nuts, but I feel like there is something missing here. Where is my uncommon level 3 drop kill a creature?
I hope I don't sound like I'm complaining because I'm super excited to play a creature-centric set (I'm a timmy at heart) but I'm scared this removal isn't going to be able to get the job done against monstrosity creatures.
Let me know what you guys think, I'm willing to accept I'm wrong in my analysis.
I'm trying to think of a way to abuse these interacting triggers.
Is it possible to attack with Kalonian, in response to Kalonian trigger I pop the activated Polukranos monstrosity let it resolve then stack the Polukranos triggered ability underneath the Kalonian Hydra trigger?
I'm in the camp that thinks this card is potentially underrated. In a vacuum vs. the other 1WW knights, this looks a lot worse. But it has the potential to be better than you are giving it credit for, if the support is there.
For example, a lot of decks were running rancor and Silverblade. Is rancor + this card really *that* much worse? Who knows if there will be enough support for the Heroic mechanic, but crazier things have happened.
If I had one word I would use to describe the overall magic fanbase it is this: Entitled. I remember somebody who had a quote in their sig that said, "Wizards could put $20 bills in every pack, and people would still complain." That is a very apt description.
The "over all community" and the "mtgs forum community" are two completely different things. The general casual community (the ones that don't check spoilers and read these forums... the ones that make up the majority of the magic community) will be hyped for this card and will selsynia charm the hell out of this guy.
I mean. Maybe my card evaluation is awful but something about casting this on 2 and then playing unflinching courage and swinging for 10 lifelink trample rustles my jimmies.
Chances of getting 4 VoR in only 2 boxes is slim to none. Even if you buy 4 boxes, it's most likely you won't crack playset. Buying 8 boxes gives you good chances of opening playset, still it could be below or over.
My LGS's team opened their case tonight and cracked 1 VoR. Not very high chance it is seeming.
Ug.... I hate posts like this. You've phrased it in an objective tone so I'm not going to bother with a rebuttal because you've made up your mind about this card. I just hope you play in my town... you're my favorite type of person to play in round one.
Anyways, this cards has served me well in limited and will continue to.
The way I see it, domri has to hit 1-2 times to pay for himself in terms of card advantage. In a midrange deck he provides a solid turn 2 and turn 3 card against certain match ups. Is he better than playing a loxodon, centaur healer, or boros reckoner? I don't know but against control I would say definitely.
Nice card. I always wanted to see skeletons like this.
To bad they put a safety 1 on it. And furthermore I wish it would have been B/W for the recast part
It easily could of been in r&d and it was found to break extort. It will still be doable (though three colors looks WAY harder in GTC than RTR) but they are going to make you pay for it by throwing your mana base off.

Thanks for the help in advance.

You're right. she is 60 now.
For instance. If rubblebelt raiders attacks alone for 3 turns its P/T will go like this.
4/4
5/5
6/6
If Rubblebelt raider attacks with 2 other creatures for three turns, its P/T will go like this:
6/6
9/9
12/12
Hope this helps.
