I came across this young guy playing what i felt was a pretty good deck. I didn't had the chance to ask for his list so I am asking for your help to find it. The cards I saw were:
So i've been playing Temur Twin for a while and i've being trying a lot of cards that other people are playing that i wouldnt normally play. Like Dismember or trying out Electrolize, which i wouldnt normally play. I know my list does not have a conventinal sideboard but i am really happy how it has evolved.
I've been testing the Bloom Titan match against a friend and i noticed that goyf is really bad in the match up. So after a few games i started cutting it after SB and going full combo. I've found that even Spellskite is better than him on the match. Anyone share my thoughts?
What can i do to make my sideboard games better against Infect?
We alredy have a lot of interection but i fell like its not enought. The only thing i can think of is Spellskite.
I've had a lot of fun with this archetype. I am not gonna say that i am a master on it or that my list is any good, but i would still like to share it. What i most like about the deck is how much i can and do change it after sideboard.
Also, two cards that i am interested are Blood Moon and Crumble to Dust that i would use mainly against Tron and Valakut. I still don't own any so i haven't test it yet.
I am sure most people know Scapeshift but a lot of people don't know one of the most exciting decks avaliable on Modern. It's called Valakut, because it uses Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle as a win condition, and in fact, it differs from Scapeshift because it may or may not countain Scapeshift. There are a lot of ways to kill with the deck, and assembling a Valakut isn't that hard. You have a lot of ramp spells that can help you get to a higher Mountain count and also 4 copies of Primeval Titan that can fetch those Valakuts for you. On top of that you also have a lot of speed with 4 Through the Breach allowing you to swing with your Titans or Emrakul, the Aeons Torn.
This is a super fun deck to play because once you resolve a Titan basically anything you do is dangerous, even drawing that extra Mountain of the top, or drawing one of your ramp spells late game.
This is the most fast way to kill with this deck, note that it requires your opponent to do 2 damage to itself.
Turn 1: Stomping Ground + Search for Tomorrow
Turn 2: Mountain, Sakura-Tribe Elder or Farseek getting a mountain or Stomping ground
Turn 3: Mountain, Through the Breach + Primeval Titan, getting 2 Valakut, attacking and getting 2 more mountains. (4 Valakut triggers + 6/6 trample)
- What am I hoping to play against?
Mostly every creature deck. I believe i am a favorite against most fair deck.
- What am I hoping to avoid?
Splinter Twin. Game 1 is hard. After sideboard the game gets easier, but you lose your explosiveness in order to play safe. Cheating creatures into play is not great because of Pestermite and Deceiver Exarch.
With the new Khans cards how you guys think this deck can do?
I´ve put together the Bant variation of this deck and after Khans was reliased i was pondering if the deck would be worth playing after Treasure Cruise was a thing. Or even if we could play it.
I didn't test much, and still have to get my hands in more copies of Treasure Cruise as i only have 1, but my plan is to change the 2 Jace, the Mind Sculptor for the second and third Treasure Cruise main, and play 10 fetchs instead of 8 that i´m playing at the moment.
I've played some tournaments on cockatrice that the commander community came up with and all that i've joined have showed a lot of players attendance. I was wondering if that existed on the modern community, and if so, if anyone could link me up to it.
Someone mentioned that his abilities were not very flavorful.
His +1 ability represents his role as an arbiter and the difficult decisions he has to make. Hence the "two cards choose one" effect.
His -3 ability is his punishment for folks who try to break the guild pact.
His ultimate is about a fresh start for Ravnica. Ok this one's kind of a stretch.
I didn't think about that. But anyway, this seems so made up.
I also think that this Jace is going to see a lot of play in Standart. Starting at 6 loyalty is no joke, as the ultimate is so close.
If that route is not viable, then -3, +1, -3 seems good too.
Jace is has also a new friend, Ajani, which will help him ultimate even faster.

Maelstrom Pulse
Thoughtseize
Thought Scour

Thanks guys.
