I thought the point with the whole "Monsters and Heroes" was that Heroic would be a heroes mechanic (Non-black) and Monstrosity would be the monster mechanic (Non-White tho white does have that atm)
Would be kinda boring if every mechanic was en every colour tho flavor-wise it made sence

As a guy loving the heroric mechanic im very worried about not having seen that many instants/sorceries so far.
Heroic seems to be a good pumping spell and only getting enchantment stuff and a bestow mechanic thats so overcosted, dosnt seem like a very good support for Heroic atm.
So 30% of a block's mechanics means most of the block was +1/+1 mechanics? FFS people, if they put no +1/+1 counters then people would be screaming there was no continuity between sets.
Not to mention that the counters worked great for Simic and Golgari. It was a simple, but effective way of portraying those guilds. Besides, it seems like Monstrous is similar to Unleash in that it is being used for a reminder. What is your solution since they're being used so much?
The point is that +1+1 mechanics just seems too easy and dull (not meaning that its easy to create mechanics) where mechanics that works in another way like Buyback, Cascade, Clash, Echo, Epic etc etc. are far more interesting and adds a cool uniqueness to the game instead of "If +1+1 is put on target creature, it gets _____"
Im really looking forward to see the rest of Theros mechanics and i really hope they will bring something other than building creatures up with counters tho it ofc fits the Theros world
I don't know where you get the counters thing. The number of spoiled cards with heroic that also mention any kind of counters is currently 0.
It's more likely that it'll involve temporary boosts and one shot effects (fingers crossed for one with looting on it).
where exactly does heroes put any counter on anything?
I think it has similar design space to Batallion which included some slightly more complex triggers (Firemane Avenger).
As CommanderZ said, i think the Heoric mechanic will work like Batallion with triggers but mostly work around +1+1 counters + Flying/First Strike/Trample until end of turn which seems extremely boring if real
Scavenge and Evolve were about +1/+1 counters, sure, however Unleash (like Undying) just happened to use them to represent change. It was a bit much for one block, I agree, and am hoping we will only have Monstrous as the "grow big" mechanic in THS.
I know we only got 1 card to demonstrate the Heroic Mechanic but it seems that it will be all about counters and flying/trample/First Strike etc. which also seems kinda "Meh"
RTRs mechanics were mostly around +1+1 counters in some way. As a person who dislike mechanics like this and were more into mechanics like Cipher, Extort, Miracle etc etc. it saddens me to see that Theros with Monstrosity and Heroic seems to be yet another block that work heavy around +1+1 counters.
Are you tied of +1+1 mechanics and hope that Theros will bring something else to the table or do you like the mechanics we have seen so far?

Yep, because its an enchantment creature. As long as it says "enchantmen" everything that deals with enchantment works
