im currently playing a B/W token list, and im over-all highly satisfied, my local shops modern events are usually 12-16 players and im consistently 2nd or 3rd, yet to take first though.
i have room to add 3 cards, any suggestions would be great
I know im going to be told to either A. add lingering souls, or B. add Spectral Procession.
I'm playing this list as a varient of Soul sisters and B/W tokens combined, maybe not ideal, but it hoses most decks in my meta... i dont want to commit too strongly to either game plan and get hated out that much easier, I'm looking for some king of utility card to stop combo preferably, while still trying to play mostly white spells for martyr (aka Castigate) any ideas or suggestions would be great, pm or post here please!
i feel like this deck could be fun with a little bit more of a control shell added into it... add in ghostly prison or ensaring bridge (or both) and a toolbox to fetch them and laugh and laugh and laugh when turn three you have no hand and an ensaring bridge on the field. (leyline of sanctity mainboard might be fun too! so brewing something lol
im not playing sad robot because it tends to do... pretty much nothing for me lol, my meta is full of boggle, infect, burn, and path to exile, so spellskite down to protect my win-cons has done way more for me than robot, strictly a meta call though.
im running 3/2 fabricate to mage because fabricate can grab me o-stone or EE after sideboard (i haven't yet decided which i want side, i may play 2/2 split on fabricate and mage, move 1 EE to the main and side 2 o-stone?)

as a player who has my sets of the chase rares, i would have liked to see them drop in price a little bit. im not saying plummet to 30$ a goyf, but from 120 down to 80 would have been fine with me. even 50 would have been ok, but i only say this because in 6 months they would be back up to 120 anyways... had they doubled the set run, and left everything else the same, i think it would have been perfect. i dont think it was a failure by any means, but i think slashing the prices a tad bit more by upping the amount in circulation again would be a great way for experienced players with budget concerns to enter modern (or legacy i guess?) and like i said, cards like goyf, bob, and cliq will ALWAYS re-stabilize after x amount of months
is anyone playing cyclonic rift in the main? ive done EXTENSIVE testing with it and a 4 of seems like an absolute necessity now. blows every archetype out! love it
both of those seem solid, however i already have the infinite token combo which creates an infinite card draw combo... and both are super easy to stick. ill look into the additions though and test a little bit ^.^ thanks for the feedback and compliment!
i know there is an elves primer, but i dont feel like this fits there. my idea isnt to combo out on turn four. yes there is a combo here, but its only because its too easy to include to ignore. this is more aggro elves meant for competitive play at LGS not a GP or ptq.

I realize that there are flaws, but WITHOUT adding more combo, is there anything anyone sees that could improve this deck in the competitive area? meta calls, add one dork minus one imperious, anything of the sort? i just dont want to combo out turn four unless its on a god hand and im just lucky. i want to play more aggro than combo!
ensnaring bridge, leyline of sanctity, and ghostly prison. theres no real draw engine here so dump my hand, minus the combp cards, keep from being killed early, swing with my spirit tokens till either the ping to death strategy works or i can get the combo? please keep in mind as well that blasphemous act cost 1 less for each creature. playing this with a token shell as well as opponents board it should be relatively easy to blasphemous act on t5 with a mana or two left over.
run in a lockout shell with ghostly prison, leyline of sanctity, and even norns annex as a possibility though... theres a lot of ways to protect yourself and helix to make up what comes through before you land something to protect with... slow yes i deff agree and fun for casual tabletop for sure, but i feel like it wouldnt be too tough to make it viable for tourney... and no one would expect to be blown up by a blasphemous act with two reckoners on the field lol

i do not have a list together yet but a deck with Boros Reckoner and Blasphemous act. the 13 damage would hit the reckoner then you could aim it to the opponents face. my idea is to run this with a shell including entreat the angels and lingering souls and such. for backup theres path and bolt and boros charm. what do you guys think?
