we already know emrakul is not on Zendikar anymore right
i hope he goes to New Phyrexia
now that's one hell of a story
I'm not really sure if corrupted Emrakul, flashing through endless worlds and spreading phyrexian oil is what we need now.
Emrakul and the other Eldrazi titans don't have actual physical forms for the oil to corrupt. They're noncorporeal, we're just seeing their mana-based avatars. Corrupting that avatar would logically accomplish nothing since Emrakul has control over it and could just make it disappear.
I doubt they'll deal with an Eldrazi in one set and then have a new, more minor threat in the second set. Especially not for the first block in the new system. They need both sets to feel epic. I imagine the first set will be amassing the opposition and the second set will be the battle against Ulamog. Maybe Ob Nixilus will get his spark back in the block, but I doubt he gets focus as the villain in an Eldrazi block.
So... will Pearl Lake Ancient still be in Standard for Zendikar? Or will he rotate out? I remember joking about its return land ability being a sign for Zendikar 2: Landfall Boogaloo.
Khans doesn't rotate out before Battle for Zendikar. There's no block between the two.
Even though I have craploads of Zendikar and Unhinged full-art lands I'm still really excited about new ones in Battle For Zendikar. Doesn't hurt that Zendikar is one of my favorite blocks and planes.
It's only an argument if someone disagrees. The story is pretty stupid. Sarkhan gets sucked away through the time vortex for no reason just to pop out, same as always, somewhere else? That's dumb.
He isn't the same though, his personality is likely going to be very different.

A while back I decided I was going to start a YouTube channel for MTG that focused on product openings and I figured the best way to attract viewers was to open older and more valuable sealed product. I bought a whole bunch of modern and legacy booster boxes and fat packs in my excitement. But then I got busy with other things and scrapped the idea of the YouTube channel. That left me with a bunch of sealed product. I would rather use it than just open it by myself and catalog it away. I went especially nuts on Zendikar, Worldwake, Rise of the Eldrazi, Lorwyn, Morningtide, Shadowmoor and Eventide booster boxes and fat packs and those blocks function differently than others I've played in limited. I know RotE was drafted by itself and the mechanics differ from Zendikar and Worldwake so does RotE work well with them in limited? And Lorwyn/Shadowmoor are like companion mini-blocks, but do they function well together in limited? And what would be the best way to distribute packs from each set?
Right now, Narset is pre ordering around $40 a piece... I see potential, but I don't think she should be more expensive than Ugin. She'll probably get the same treatment as Sarkhan and spike to $45ish and then sink like a rock. She's good, but not game-breaking and doesn't protect herself. She's also not going to be run in playsets or shoved into any deck. IMO.
This happens with every new planeswalker when they're first revealed. Same thing will happen with the other 'walker of the set.
I really wish Narset had been WR instead of WU. WR would been much more flavorful considering what Ojutai did to her order. Unless she's Ojutai's ally?

I agree. I wouldn't be surprised if it became 'Big Set=4 'walkers, Small Set=2 'walkers.'
EDIT: Meant to write 4, not 3.
That makes even less sense.

Thank.
What would Lens add? Narset already lets you look at the top card and Lens doesn't let you put the top on the bottom.

Yeah, but Niv-Mizzet never took away Ral Zarek's identity. Being WR would have been a direct challenge to Ojutai's authority.
Nice avatar BTW.
