Yeah, tapping out Turn 3 to maximize your As Foretold...hoping you have a 0 cost card in hand to get something for your trouble...and then casting a 1 mana card FOR FREE...lol.
I'm not feeling it. Sure you can maybe build a Restore Balance shell around it, but its 3 mana, even if it is good, its Abrupt Decay fodder.
Have you played against it? I have, and they can do some serious things on turn 3.
I used to have a split betwwen Sanctum and Canal. I have since dropped Sanctum. It looks good, but in reality, we want our red/blue far more than we want our green/blue. This becomes far more evident when we side in blood moon. I prefer a fetch in the slot of sanctum to go get my forest. In any other matchup where moon is not relevant, I wouldnt mind it. But we bring in moon for a lot of our games, and sanctum is just too clunky.
I actually just played (and won) against a Esper Living End deck with As Foretold, and curator was nice to cycle away, considering it comes back if Living End sticks
I dont use renegade as a Dismember replacement (I use Pongify for that :p). I use renegade as extra removal, and as a removal target. Sometimes it eats Push turn 1 and I land goyf next turn. It did its job. Ive had opponents push narnam while I have a flipped delver on the field. Players just hate it when their strategy relies on creatures.
Im completely turned off of Dismember. It never was a good tool in this deck, imo. 4 life is super relevant, and forces us to be extra vigilant in how we fetch. I dont like that. We are already land light, Dismember forces us to fetch even more carefully.
Back to Narnam: I have played it against Eldrazi, and I dont mind trading it for 2 life vs a RS.
I have had games as well where I had permission up but waiting on a proper threat. Narnam was on the field and my opponent refused to swing in with his Tasigur. Even with a bigger threat on the field, attacking us gets more complicated. Narnam has the same effect on my opponents as Huntmaster. They both change how opponents cast spells (in the case of HM) or attack (in the case of Narnam).
Im not complaining about color, Im talking about cost. Viper requires a creature to be attacking, which means it is not a pseudo terminate. It also is a horrible threat if its not being cast to kill an attacker. It does not act as a lightning rod for removal as much as narnam does, and it comes down a turn later, anyways. If deathtouch removal is what we are looking for, Narnam is the correct tool.
I feel like if you are going with the Traverse plan, it should be a 4-of. 2 seems inconsistent for a card that demands to be a key component of your game plan.
I actually tried traverse a bit to see how it felt, and I found it too clunky. On paper, it is awesome. But in practice, unless you warp your deck around hitting delirium, it just isnt as powerful as it seems.
That being said, I also advocate the use of Pongify, so what do I know?
I think if Traverse suits your playstyle then play Traverse.
Adding two curators over sleight brings us down to 27 inst/sorc in the main. After siding, that tends to drop to near 20, which does make delver harder to flip. Im not a super fan. But I will test with it because an extra flying threat that dodges bolt or push unrevolted, is interesting to me.

Not enough games with it yet to make a comment. Ill play more and report back.
