Too bad it isn't instant speed. Why no Pithing Needle in side on about any list I've seen? Would shut down vials and give us a bit of time to stabilize.

So why not use Tombstalker instead of the angler? He has evasion, but one less p/t, is that really the only other reason? I guess maybe the Angler is B instead of BB as well. My meta has alot of token decks running around, and I was the only other guy to play Robots. The Blood Moon main wrecks them though, kills about all their mana. Izzet Straticaster willmake an appearance in my side and Counterflux has to be a main choice for me, too many guys playing RUDelver and other control decks. Mondays are modern at my LGS, so when we play next ill let you guys know my decklist and how it did.

I'd like to clarify something, you use thought scour on your self right? That way is faster to get Banana King? I love this deck archetype, I've piloted it to a few wins, and won a game day with it. Soon as I get back to playing modern, this is my choice.

This list doesn't even hand apostles blessing? I thought that was a very essential at least 2 of for this deck. Would splashing a bit of black be good as well?

I ment to take the jars out, and yes I'm sure there will be storm. The nature's claim is a mirror choice. I'm a little iffy about the cannonist so they can be removed quickly without much Thought.

Grab fetches, they fit in many decks across many formats and will be a great investment. The Inkmoths should be next. Shock lands are cheap currently too.

So is my side and main look okay then? I'd like to top 8, but winning this event would be phenomenal. I'm thinking of taking out the sided Jar and upping to 2 Dismember.

So how is the consistency of this deck versus other decks? What does this deck look for most often, as in what's a risky hand and how soon are you planning to end your opponent? What would be great draws, and not so great. How does this deck sideboard?

Okay so I'm wondering about more main deck and sideboard help now. I've put this deck on the back burner so to speak so I can explore some other fun decks but now it's time that I want to play and do well for an upcoming event. Here is what I have so far.

So I'm just wondering if the Thoughtseize are really essential or can they be subbed out for something different. My meta is going to be chocked full of Twin and I'm betting now Abzan. There is very little chance of a mirror, and Delver and Scapeshift are expected to have a strong presence as well. So any thoughts on main and side? The Skites are in main as a meta choice, I'd rather have them knowing I'll already side them in, and they can still carry a Plating. I don't really like the Welding Jars split but can't think of anything else to up a count or move around.

Okay my .02 now, I think Victim and GftThroat are both about the best removal mono black has. Damnation is blacks best sweeper. Cut is a bit situational, the delve cost is a bit high to play early and efficiently. I do love Slaughter Pact, it's an auto include as a 3 of in most of my 75 with sufficient Black. Terminate is great, so is Decay, but for all around just black I'm thinking Victim of the night is an all star, because how many Zombies, werewolves, or vampires are you really worried about in this format?

When I get Internet stable at my house I'll list my 75, but I use 3 wrenchmind because affinity isn't as prevalent in my meta. Lots of twin and scapeshift.

Been a little too long since I liked this up but I did build it and made some changes after the last two sets, any one else still trying this?

  • posted a message on how many copies of a creature can exist on the battlefield?
You can only have a maximum of 4 copies of any single card in your 75. Making a copy does not count that, you can make a million copies if you'd like and have the ability to do so.

Though I love this card for all it's unique ways to tutor up some mischief, I do believe the sorcery speed is it's downfall. Okay so Blue has their own Demonic Tutor for most of the spells it would be looking for, but for U that is a huge drawback that it can't be cast at the end of their opponents turn.

I'm wondering about sleeving this up in a variant for my FNM this week. I like the idea of Abrupt Decay and Golgari Charm and wonder if they shouldn't both be main decked for my meta, I'll be playing against Boggle's, Delver, and RG and MonoU Tron builds. Those are the decks I'm most worried about, as most of the other fillers will be some tier3 or lower standard spin off's. I've loved Pox for a long time and have tried it with little success as either MonoB, or BW. So now I guess it's time to try BG, and wonder about Krosan Grip as a side option? Now that we have the Loam engine as well, what about a Dark Heart of the Wood somewhere in the 75? Before you go on about it wait and here's my logic, but also my criticism for it.

Pro: It's a great recurring way to keep us above the life belt from lethal, and with Loam, who cares right?
Con: Surfers to grave hate alot, but so does Loam, and at first feels a bit clunky, needing to have so many forests for it to be effective.

What about Hideous Laughter to go against the Twin decks? Yes it's 2BB but it is Instant speed and can help take out so many other dudes as well.
