I don't think this will be a very good card (Cube OR Constructed), but I wouldn't be surprised if someone breaks this with Veteran Explorer in Legacy. However, I'm not a green expert so I cannot comment that much.
i also dont hate it as a 1 off storm card in a cube, (no need to dedicate alot of space to it, it can just be there) if you get a few moxen, a cpl cantrips, dark rit, play some spot removal, a few blockers, a sweeper or 2, you could probably leverage this card into a win more often than not in a 40-card format. w/ the alrdy mention breach its most likely gg, but it's also lethal w/ Yawgmoth's Will
Mox >>>> Gemstone > Chrome Mox. I'm really not a fan of Chrome Mox as color spells are usually the last spells you would like to pitch - I haven't had good experiences with it outside of storm TBH.
i'd rate Chrome Mox above both the land & the diamond. cavern is a safe, fair-ish card & i like it better than the diamond on average
I'm with White Wolf on this one. I've play reanimator recently and I've found fatties such as Wurmcoil Engine, Inkwell Leviathan etc. on average are cheated out on turn 3 AND can only win on turn 5-6, and this is assuming ZERO disruption. This is not ideal in a format with powerful sweepers, removal or even 4-6 CMC threats; These type of fatties are great at helping to stabilize the board and gain CA, but require 2+ fatties to close out the game.
Sundering Titan's land disruption impact at a minimum makes it difficult for the opponent to followup with something like Kolaghan's Command or Supreme Verdict as you can normally blow up 2+ lands. [/quote]
Unpowered 360 with Tinker, Channel, Show & Tell, Sneak, strong reanimation theme and lots of ramp.
Or should I run both no matter what?
I like Myr Battlesphere more.
- Cheaper
- Isn't a double-edged sword
- Can't be walled by tokens forever
- Adds tokens to the board to add critical mass for things like Tolarian Academy / Urza / Karnstructs / etc
i'm w/ Steve on this, i've had really good success w/ battlesphere, just dont think titan is that good to be honest; usually hurts you just as much, most cube decks are @ best going to be 2 colors (maybe splashing for a 3rd), so its going to be rare to hit more than a couple lands form ur opponent, which is typically how many ur going to kill of ur own
Turn 1 - Triome/ Manland.
Turn 2 - Explore/ Nature's Lore/ Wall of Roots -> Land Untapped/ Mana ETB -> 1 CMC Dork.
I've found that the 1 mana refunded from Talisman/ Signet/ Explore etc. have been more relevant than ramp on a body.
i dont think ur appreciating elder's subtlety AY, just being able to chump before ramping/fixing is very meaningful, + being able to be a threat in a pinch late game is not something to be overlooked (picking up a piece of equipment or getting buffed by kessig wolf run
the cliffs rant, the pathway never comes in tapped, if the player gets mana screwed b/c they pick the wrong side, they either chose poorly or got f'd over really hard by variance.
It's essentially Thirst for Discovery for green, but is worse at binning a specific card from your hand. Seems cool if you're into Thirst for Discovery / Thirst for Knowledge type cards, but passable if not.
idk, i think its a little better than that, mainly b/c its instant speed GREEN card draw. but it also digs alittle deeper (4), + its a may ability, which means you can just let em all go to the GY if you wanted to, which is relevant for reanimate & lands style decks, etc
I think it's probably one of the strongest card revealed for cube in this set, yet.
Big fatty? Check. ETB big cascade? Check. Uncounterable spell that hits creature or PW? Check.
I'm all in for it. I guess this where I cut Inferno Titan.
BM idk that cutting Inferno Titan is the correct choice here, anything that can race Griselbrand...just saying!
i'm not saying that this is or isnt worth running, but i know i dont like running "alot" of lands to help mana fixing, i want that to be another decision point/area of contention when drafting
i've been thinking the same thing Alan!
it does LV, island =)

you do have a point Alan

kinda surprised no one's mentioned this card @ all. an instant speed green divination, that digs 4 cards deep & helps GY based strategies.
1st time doing this, sorry if i screwed it up @Steve_man
ophiomancer
hmm, idk about that Red, my knee jerk reaction, says thats the wrong cut...
