Ok so after some playing around I've came accross this fun deck and I am trying to make this more commpetive. My concern is i wan to make it more effecient as well as consistant.
Soooo....I've been working on a new combo deck for Phage, the Untouchable . It's one and only goal is to beat in fast and hard for lethal damage by turn 1 or 2
In theory it should work and be very effective and lethal....if I can make it go off consistently. So is there any input on this?
Deck:
I cut the 1 silvergill for the brainstorms (I Originally had 3 Fetches). The reason for the Storms is if i get Thoghtseized or Inquistioned I can react and save what cloud be a vile, a true-name, or something of the sort.
I am curious as to why you say dakra though. would that be a 1 of or 2 of?
I've been playing me some fish and i got 2 issues with it.
1. It's kinda got a weak sideboard. I liked the suggestions I've read over. I made some edits to it
2. I also was wanting to try out Triton Shorestalkerin here as well, however i can't decide what to cut.
Ok so after alot of play testing this is now how the deck is looking and what i am running. Any Ideas and feed back with this to finish the fine tuning
I'm working on a new competitive type deck that is more-so a control type deck. The basic idea is to stall until i hit my win con, in this deck Master of Cruelties enchanted with Aqueous Form. I a more of a Agro player so control decks aren't my thing. So that being i would love to have some feed back as far as my build and what i should do to tweak it to make it as powerful and efficient as possible.
I have been away from MtG for years (sinnnnnce...Future Sight or thereabouts). But someone is pulling me back in for a dabble in Standard and I ended up in UR as well. Yours is headed to control, and mine is more aggressive, centering on Elementals a little stronger. Either way--if you are running that many critters, try and run Bident of Thasa.
You also have so many 1- and 2-drops that I think running 4 Guildgates is going to impact your early game often enough to be annoying. Dial that back to 2 and swap in more basics.
Sounds good to me I might give it a try. Now I do have bident in the main board I just forgot to put that up in my list. I will try the land suggestions though.
I mean your 60 is basically the deck that took 1st in Oakland with Supreme Verdict instead of Jace, the Mind Sculptor. There really isn't a whole lot more you can do to make it more competitive other than tune it for your metagame.
I was highly considering putting jace in the build but there just hard to come by. Would he be beneficial to the deck if I were to put him in?
I'm still fairly wet behind the ears to Legacy but this is a build that i thought i should give a shot when i saw true-name nemesis and how to make this threat to my opponent a MUCH more prevalent threat. After allot of net decking its now a matter of fine tuning. So what Should i do as far as my build here
