This card seems great. Yeah, discover is worse than cascade when the card gets countered, but it's better in basically every other way - you can blink, copy, reanimate, etc and still get the discover 5 and you get to draw the card if you don't want to cast it.

I also think this card will shine in a value reanimation shell - the sort of deck that isn't all in on turn 2 griselbrand or bust but is running recurring nightmare and is happy to just reanimate value cards to grind out the game. It even gets to pitch itself for value. Will test.

I think this is decently worse than tirelss tracker, but tracker is incredible so that's not too much of a knock against it. While much worse at card advantage, this brawls a lot better immediately and doesn't die to bolt, while still giving you a decent mana sink. Seems like an easy test.

This seems like essentially dreadbore in an unpowered cube, and since I still need to add Chaos Defiler, I suspect I'll stick with my current guild selection once that's in for Redcap.

Unless you're in a tribal cube, this is basically a 4-mana 4/4 ward 2 that makes your next etb creature better (as presumably the line is you play this, name elemental, then play mulldrifter, for instance). Not good enough IMO.

I didn't have "strictly better supreme will" on my bingo card, but here we are. I love will and thinks it plays so much better than it reads like it will, so I will obviously put this in. I might even run both.

3 mana is too much for just the loot effect even in colorless, and by the time you can transform it (gonna be REALLY hard in cube - you won't have battles maybe at all, so you gotta get 4 out of 5 normal permanent types in your GY) you may not even need the mana. Not to mention you can't tranform and tap for mana on the same turn.

For those like me who didn't remember, descend when used like this is "a permanent card went to your GY." So no saccing tokens and you only get 1 counter a turn.

I think this really needs to be getting a counter turn 1 or 2 the vast majority of the time to be worth it, and I don't think most cube decks are consistent enough to pull that off.

Oh man, is this finally the end for looter-il-kor? I think it is.

Pretty wild that you get the 3/1 or treasure whether you play the cards or not. Usually you either get the benefit or the card, not both.

I suspect being a 5-drop that gets you no value unless you untap with it will ultimately mean this isn't good enough, but if it sticks for even a turn it feels extremely hard to lose.

I think I still like this less than Horizon canopy for the cycle of "extra" lands I run in mu cube, but the llama "hidden" in the normal art is absolutely *chef's kiss*

LOL, I did miss that lol. The card keeps getting weirder

Honestly I'm amazed I did read it right the first time lmao.

If I hadn't had to read the 2nd box 4 times to figure out how the hell the tokens actually worked and whether they were in any way as deadly as the angels are supposed to be, I would have assumed it was 1,1,2,2.

Guild card, expensive, and slow. You're on turn 6 before you get to kill a 2nd creature, and at this point in the game the 2/2 is often going to be pretty irrelevant. So you're really looking at a 4 mana double-terminate that makes you wait 2 turns. I expect this will all mean it's too clunky (not to mention your opponent can kill it before you get the 2nd kill spell).

I think this relied too heavily on the emerge and is too soft to essentially every wrath, conditional or not. If you sac a 3-drop, say, you're getting probably 4 2/2's for 3 mana and being down a card. Strong, but not unbeatable, and a disaster if you get quaked for 2.

Similarly, if you go all in and sac like a 5-drop to get 7 2/2's, the blowout is even worse. I think just your average straight token makers that cost X are better than this.

I think I'd rather have questing beast at 5 than this card, which shows where I am on it.

Not to mention my green 5's have nothing I'd want to cut for this card. Even for what I think is the weakest, Biogenic Ooze, just absolutely takes over the game and leaves value behind if your opponent kills it. Sure, this gets to hit for 5 immediately, but I have only 4 humans in green and so this is basically just its stats.

Agree that this is a miss. There's too many decks that won't really care about doming their opponents for 5, and the aggro decks don't really want to spend 4 mana on a removal spell that has its upside just blanked by any token makers.
