trade it for the modern cards you need. You're likely to find someone with a big modern collection whose up for trading something like a set of snapcasters for the entire deck.

cutoff doesn't exist for me, I can play with them once they are slabbed. I've got one graded card left and I can tell you, they are very difficult to move.

I just picked up a lot of ruinations and ob nixilis unshackled and was wondering what everyones thoughts are on these cards as specs? Ruination seems to be in low supply and is a brutal card in both multiplayer and single player commander.

Ob Nixilis seems like he's going to be in higher demand with the reprint of all these tutors. Its already heavily played.

Personally, I don't give a ***** about spending a couple grand on magic over the course of a year or two. However, some people want to be able to play competitively at a low barrier. Which as it stands, is not possible. I believe all t1 and 2 modern decklists are in upwards of a thousand dollars. Its just ridiculous. Its so impossibly hard for some of my friends(who are good players and, when handed expensive, good decks can play the hell out of them) to afford to play this game that it just hurts me, and I feel like it's going to stop magic from growing too much more.

The trick is giving it time and picking up cards when they are cheap. Snapcaster was 15$ at one point, shocks were also all under 10$, fetchlands were mostly under 10$. Its not something that happens overnight unless you have money to blow. Its a waiting game with some cards. MM helps release a fair number of modern cards back into the wild each year as well.

I agree blowing 140$ on a tarmogoyf is difficult but there are decks that are cheap and there are cards you can pick up cheap for future decks (or trade away for decks you want when they appreciate). I purchased 3 verdant catacombs when they rotated for less than 20$ total. When MM1 came out, I traded them to a dealer for a goyf.

There are a lot of copies floating around after mm2 and a lot of players who used to play this deck already have this card.

It'll jump up a few bucks as we get to modern season but its around a 20$ card longer term

    Pile A
    3x Verdant Catacombs
    3x Arid Mesa

    Pile B
    3x Snapcaster Mage
    1x Bloodstained Mire (Expedition)

Bloodstained Mire isn't the most exciting Expedition, but I still really like Pile B here.

I sold out, and kept foils and promos. It'll drop at rotation but not by much (there was some concern it would have been printed in duel decks but since it's confirmed it will not be, the price floor has increased).

Fits in with the new rotation better. They want to use DDs to preview cards and mechanics and with 2 set blocks, this actually helps preview each block every year so its actually a great idea.

if a fat pack comes with 40 of them and 9 boosters that should set your floor. I would suspect that full art land packs are in the neighborhood of 5-8$.

this looks a lot like duel deck art, but walkers are usually from older sets so it makes me wonder.

burn typically has at least a 2x multiplier for easy to find cards and as high as 7x for legacy cards that are hard to find

this is just a case of the foil price not catching up. Players are looking to play or spec will grab the cheapest copy. Last week i snagged 4 lp arcbound ravager foils for 31 each while the non foils lp copies were 24. When cards spike, the foils are usually late to go. Goblin guide has the unfortunate circumstance of having a GP foil so the regular multiplier should be about 2x. I would expect to see the foils close to 40.
