Seems pretty solid. You have your usual free counter spells. Brainstorm for consistancy. Aether Vial since 16 of the creatures are 2-drops.
Is this deck for real or was the meta just not up to par? Seems like the top 16 of the event was very diverse. Even had a MUD, Alurren Combo and 2x Elves in top 16.
This is a very sad day... The original over sized cards were 6x9, the box toppers were 4x6 and the planeshase ones are 3x5 1/2... I could have just bought 6x9 sleeves and backed them, but they never cared to make the sleeves till the new ones.
Any good shops here with a decent collection and decent prices?
Rainy Day Games in Beaverton/Aloha area. There selection of Modern/Legacy stuff is minimal. Standard selection is decent. The store is very clean and well organized. Lots of playing room.
Guardian Games in Downtown/Industrial Portland. Huge Player area, card selection is HUGE. Has a bar inside.
TimeVault Games in Downtown Portland. They started out as an online store so their entire inventory is online. They have a huge selection of everything. They also have a lot of food at good prices if you are there to play for a long time.
Say your opponent was rude to you in game (being a really sore winner/loser) and he or she gets up to go smoke outside and leaves his or her cards behind (just the deck not his binder). No one is around you and no one is looking. Do you tell him or her that he he or she left his or her cards or take the abandoned treasure? Do you leave some of the cards and take the more expensive or less expensive ones?
I feel like your really want to steal some cards sir. You want someone here to justify it for you so that you don't feel bad about doing it/wanting to do it.
Depends on how rude the person was. If they were insulting, then most people would just walk away. If they were just a sore loser, then it's 50/50 if they would just leave it or bring it to them.
It's thier fault for leaving the cards behind though. Would you leave your $200-300 iphone on the table? Nope. Don't leave your $200-300 magic deck on the table.
Here is the real question, why didn't they make all the dual lands like horizon canopy in that set?
1) Dual land that comes into play untapped (1 damage isn't that big of a deal)
2) Taps for two colors with no restrictions like the other 2
3) You can draw a card if you have too many lands already
4) Combo's very well with crucible of worlds and/or Knight of the Reliquary
as far as the price goes. It's an auto 4 of in the decks that use it. It was about $8-11 until it was in a high tournament deck. Demand became higher and now it's $35+.
One of my bucket list items for being a magic player is to have a functioning oversized legacy or commander deck. Not sure which one yet. I need help trying to locate all the possible cards to choose from. I have noticed that all the pain dual lands are available so this should be possible.
I need help locating all of the oversized cards. Starcity games has a large selection to browse, but I can't verify if that is everything. Does anyone know if there is a "master" list of all the oversized cards or not?
Either buy the fetches and play with ravnica dual lands or just play a deck that doesn't run fetches like burn, merfolk, or manaless dredge.
Usually the decks running $50+ fetches are also running $70+ force of will and $120+ Tarmagoyf's, so you either have to commit to the expensive deck or find another deck in your budget.
Noble Hierarch seems like a good fit for the bant deck. It's not a mythic, but might as well be. Cruel Ultimatum should be an auto include in the grixis deck, but it did just come out in FTV:20. Dragonmaster Outcast and Godsire would be a nice addition to the naya deck.
I assume they will also include all the Tri-Color Dragons that fit the color schemes. Just like they did with the previous commander decks.

I guess I get to cross this one off the list.

Bant flicker commander is perfect. I also enjoy the cartoon-ish art stile. It's a nice change from all the super detailed stuff lately.
Mono Green Land Destruction. I can see it now.

Naya: Rith, the Awakener
Grixis: Crosis, the Purger
Jund: Darigaaz, the Igniter
Esper: Dromar, the Banisher
Bant: Treva, the Renewer
It would not trigger.
