Only played two rounds before double drawing in, sorry for the lack of testing.
both 2-1 against abzan midrange.
Rallier did some serious work, constantly getting back voice's for incremental annoying value.
There were a few times where the only threat I was drawing was rallier, which was pretty bad when the only thing to get back is fetchlands.
I'd play thundermaw over any other 5 mana spell right now. Sarkhan is probably the worst of the playable five drops we can play.
I also disagree with tireless tracker not being good. I keep forgetting to put one in my sideboard to play around with, but I think it very good against jund, uw, etc. It negates flooding and can get so many free cards.
So I've played some number of games with arlinn kord on cockatrice. In the games I've played she's been great. A lot of games have gone: turn 1 nacatl, turn 2 goyf, turn 3 smiter, turn 4 kord then flip, turn 5 overrun. A lot of fair decks can't ever beat that curve. She was great against jund and junk when we were both topdecking. There was a point where we were both hellbent and I drew her and made a wolf, he drew an ooze and I bolted it. There was a few games where you are top decking and you find a threat and she's unflipped and you give that creature haste, it's so hard to lose when that happens. She's obviously pretty mediocre against combo, but that overrun effect is pretty good for racing, but is probably not as good as Elspeth when you compare the two against combo. I also have been trying out oath of nissa and a one of traverse the ulvenwald. I really like oath, traverse is so insane if you have delarium, but it might be too difficult for us to have unless we draw multiple oaths.
I haven't run into any complicated arlinn interactions yet, but I do think they'll come up, most of the plays with her are easy to see, planning three turns ahead with her can be a little tough, though.
Overall, I have really liked arlinn kord, I tried her out in a shell with 2 kord 2 company and 2 kord, 4 oath. I am not entirely sure which configuration is the best yet. I am leaning toward the oath version, witch some companies in the board.
Played in Baltimore regionals yesterday going 4-3 drop
Round 1 RG tron 2-0
Round 2 UWR control 1-2 mulled to 5 game 3
Round 3 RG Tron 0-2
Round 4 No show 2-0
Round 5 Infect 2-1
Round 6 Grixis control elspeth emblem gg
Round 7 Infect 1-2
I'd bring in all 6 against tron and Bx eldrazi. I would only bring in the blood moons against heartless eldrazi, since I don't think they play any artifacts.
Against the eldrazi decks I would side out tarmogoyf and ooze and bring in blood moon/magus of the moon and stony silence. That match up sucks for big zoo but should be good for small zoo and nacatl burn.
So I haven't posted here or even played modern recently at all, and I cannot play at GP Pittsburgh because of my classes; but I wanted to update everyone on some of my list and what I would have played at the GP if I could go.
This would be the second choice.
Voice is really good right now, while pridemage is slightly worse, but is still really important against affinity, tron, and twin.
I also really like Sigarda with the amount of grixis and BGx running around it is really hard to remove it.
Round 1 Turbo Fog 2-1, not going to comment on this match
Round 2 Affinity 2-1, Game 1 retreat was able to tap creatures and allow geist to hit in chunks. Game 3 Retreat was once again able to tap down attacker/blockers. Never combo'd.
Round 3 Junk 2-1, Game 1 Knight for wolf run kill. Game 3 retreat did major work in tapping voice of resurgences and getting insane value while forcing bad blocks.
Didn't like magus in the board, taking those out asap. Not sure what to replace them with yet.

Elspeth was amazing, I still think she is better than the CCs. Brimaz was also very good, especially turn 2 into elspeth pump.
I'm still working on the blue splash, because I think it will still be better. I was messing around with rhox war monk as a 3 of with lightning helix.
