Possibly have Traproot Kami's in SB and put them in versus decks playing green. Since I'm splashing black for Doran as a backup, I'm open to other suggestion in black. But mainly I've focused on GW.
Edit: What are your thoughts on Reveillark? Since most if not all of our creatures have power less than 2 and with ramp from Overgrown Battlement and Axebane Guardian, it's a nice recursion if some of our creatures get discarded or countered.
Tested it a little on Cockatrice. Crimson Wisps is great all around. Provides haste for a creature we got in via Æther Vial, triggers both heroic and prowess and draws us a card. Could run 4 Cavern of Souls since all creatures but Anafenza are humans. Was thinking of including Mass Hysteria but can't really go any lower on the creature count.
I also haven't included any fetchlands yet to kept it lower on the budget end even though Monastery Mentor, Æther Vial and Cavern of Souls are already quite expensive.
So they've spent 4 mana to gain 3 and bring you down by 3 then it sits there until they deal with Mockery. Seems good enough for me.
Well, sure, but can't they just fire a Restoration Angel afterwards to counter your Aura and gain value? Or do Abzan decks not play that card? Mostly thinking about Modern right now. (And it's not something I'm an expert at, at all, so please enlighten me if you know what's up)
I guess but that means they lost another turn by doing nothing other than casting Restoration Angel. Unless they wait on your turn to play it EoT which leaves it open to a counterspell unless you're tapped out.
Mirror Mockery makes populate synergy somewhat interesting.
Seems casual. I like it. Let's see, Mirror Mockery on Voice of Resurgence, followed by an instant speed populate (Rootborn Defenses) to save the Voice. Add in a sacrifice effect to get some extra value out of your VoR token before it leaves play at end of combat?
I'm unsure how good Mirror Mockery is. Combos great with ETB effects and shuts down opposing Siege Rhinos but remember they don't have to attack with their enchanted creature if they choose not to.
But when it works, it seems to work amazingly.
Will it become a Modern SB thing? It has the mana cost to do so. Perhaps in decks with lots of ETB, it might work wonders?

At worst, he is a 4/4 creature with vigilance for 4 mana, which is not poor, by any standards. At best, he can work excellently with any deck that uses +1/+1 counters, although he is not quite as powerful as is Ghave, Guru of Spores. The fact that the counters are being moved, rather than placed on a creature, means that he does not gain any bonus from doubling season, but the ability can still be very useful, since it can steal counters from an opponent's creature.
Why is he a warrior, rather than a soldier? I always thought that warriors were red, since they were wild and ferocious, while soldiers were white, because they are disciplined and organized.
Dictate of Heliod - the flash is nice to surprise your opponent by suddenly giving all your creatures +2/+2 but other than that I don't think it's good enough for a spot.
Godsend - although I'm not running an equipment heavy deck, this is a ridiculous card. Easily tutorable and needs to be dealt with quickly once it hits the battlefield.
Goblin Welder, Nephalia Smuggler, Ulvenwald Tracker, Fauna Shaman, Birthing Pod, Crystal Shard, Mimic Vat, any land etc.
Depends on the deck of course but I think there are more than enough targets. I can see the problem making room for it though as per usual with EDH decks
Right, so that means he doesn't only chooses the target for Wild Ricochet itself and he'd only pick new targets for the copies if Wild Ricochet actually resolved?
Yeah, player 3 responded to Wild Ricochet trying to change target of Desert Twister. Since you can counter any spell that's on the stack, he decided to counter Desert Twister thus making sure that Wild Ricochet never resolves.
What actually happens in this case? We figured that because Wild Ricochet was cast 2nd, it's put on stack along with it's copies but they all fizzle due to Counterspell countering Desert Twister thus leaving Wild Ricochet and it's copies without any legal targets. Is that correct?
Tried Nylea to grant trample otherwise opponenet can just chump the massive walls. Thoughtseize/IOK and Abrupt Decay definitely seem worth a shot.
I'd say Tower Defense is a better option. Sure it's 1 mana more but it affects all your creatures and can be used late game as a great finisher.
I've put together this so far
3 Axebane Guardian
2 Doran, the Siege Tower
2 Indomitable Ancients
2 Nylea, God of the Hunt
4 Nyx-Fleece Ram
2 Overgrown Battlement
3 Traproot Kami
2 Tree of Redemption
2 Wakestone Gargoyle
4 Wall of Omens
2 Wall of Shards
2 Courser of Kruphix
2 Path to Exile
4 Tower Defense
Enchantments:
4 Assault Formation
Lands:
7 Forest
4 Plains
2 Verdant Catacombs
2 Windswept Heath
2 Temple Garden
2 Overgrown Tomb
1 Swamp

2 Akroan Crusader
2 Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit
2 Anax and Cymede
2 Iroas, God of Victory
2 Mirran Crusader
2 Monastery Mentor
4 Monastery Swiftspear
1 Ojutai Exemplars
2 Phalanx Leader
4 Æther Vial
Lands:
2 Cavern of Souls
4 Clifftop Retreat
5 Mountain
5 Plains
4 Sacred Foundry
4 Crimson Wisps
4 Emerge Unscathed
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Path to Exile
Planeswalker:
1 Elspeth, Knight-Errant

Or Sundering Growth.
Also plays nice with Parallel Lives, Doubling Season and Primal Vigor.

Doubling Season, Primal Vigor, Hardened Scales all work with him. Moving a counter from Daghtar obviously places one on a different target creature.
Bloodghast
Dauthi Horror
Nether Traitor
Reassembling Skeleton
Shepherd of Rot
Lobber Crew
Lim-Dûl's Hex
All great Rakdos enablers, especilly Dauthi Horror with shadow and Lim-Dul's Hex as an enchantment.
Eidolon of Rhetoric - Seems good enough once we have Rhys and possibly some other token producers out.
Eidolon of Blossoms - A must with all the enchantments we're running. Pair it with Heliod, God of the Sun and you get a card draw for 4 mana. Possibly more if you Skullclamp the 2/1 tokens.
Dictate of Heliod - the flash is nice to surprise your opponent by suddenly giving all your creatures +2/+2 but other than that I don't think it's good enough for a spot.

Seems worth a spot being only UG which makes it easily copiable with Riku. Plus it allows shenanigans with her untap ability.
Either way, thanks for clearing it up
Player 2 then casts conspired Wild Ricochet targeting Desert Twister changing the target to a random permanent player 3 controls.
Player 3 then casts Counterspell targeting Desert Twister.
