posted a message on [[Peasant]] The Peasant Cube Discussion Thread (C/U/)
We as a staff are currently working on a new site and will have more details to follow on this but there will a be a continuation site just now owned by the staff. More notes on this and its progress will be be found on the main cube forum page.

Another thing to note is I'm an avid Peasant cube and it would take my dead body before they remove the peasant and pauper cube section from the new site.

I plan to keep on with the Site the staff are still in production with. You better believe I plan to make sure there is a peasant/pauper cube space that will surpass the one we have her on MTGSally as I get to be more involved in its setup and while im not perfect I like to think I have contributed to the growth of our community.

    https://www.mtgsalvation.com/articles/49777-the-end-of-an-era

Over the past few years, MTGSalvation has become very much my home and most of that is due to the community like the Modern community. It has been an honor and a privilege to talk magic, modern ban list philosophy even with the chaos that can ensue and even more the deck brewing and philosophy with you all. On behalf of the staff past and present thank you all so much for helping us create this wonderful community.

But Im not just getting sappy in this post, there is more.

As Feyd mentioned in the article, we are working on a new home for anyone that wishes to follow us on that journey. It is still very much a work in progress, but our goal is to make our new home even more of a community site than what we have now. Beyond that, I can't say much just yet, but as we get closer I'll keep everyone informed in this thread.

If you have any questions or better yet, have any input on things you would like to see then please feel free to post in this thread and we will respond to the best of our abilities.

The site will be shutting down but the staff of Salvation are working on a new site to be released prior to the shut down. We will have more info closer to the release and I will personally make posts in this community for those interested in following to the new site.

posted a message on Gideon PW Deck Cards
That Gideon may actually be playable in Constructed, ironically in a control deck since that one-sided exile all effect is really strong.

Gideon’s Company is an auto-include in Soul Sisters and other lifegain decks and it might be the best PW deck exclusive card ever printed.

While it may be a card people will test within Soul sisters, it wont replace Ajani's Pridemate. and with how fast soul sister's wants to beat down I feel this won't replace anything in the deck. At 4 cmc and greater, we have Ranger of eos which mostly is there for late game rebuilding and Archangel of thune which ends the game the turn it comes in most of the time.

Keep discussion on card you'd like to see reprinted or how you think this set will impact modern. This thread is not going to become a state of modern while state is locked. This is the only warning to stay on topic.

Without context, (aka the State of Modern) discussion is surface level at best. Unlock the other thread if you want more in depth stuff there, and start encouraging people to use the Ignore function. I've got 3 people on my permanent list, and each add increased the value of this site considerably.

Without an understanding of what Modern is, what suggestions or speculation can even have value?

Let me be clearer, any discussion on the state of modern without reference to the speculative reprints or how you'd like to see the format shift will not be tolerated. While the ignore function is useful it is not a catch all and should not have to be implemented to create a welcoming and respectful community. As the state of the modern thread is lock, discussion that regards to the locking of the thread should be directed to a Moderator in a Private message and not posted in other threads derailing them. If anyone has more questions on this please Private message me and I can discuss it further with you but this is not the place.

posted a message on The State of Modern Thread (B&R 11/03/2019)
After some deliberation, we have deemed that the discussion here in the state of modern has been too volatile recently. We here at Mtgsalvation pride ourselves on being a welcoming and civil community for the discussion of Magic the Gathering. While we understand from time to time conversations can get heated, flaming and trolling behaviors are unacceptable and will not be tolerated. In this thread, we have seen some of the worst of this and due to that we are taking stricter action.

When the thread is unlocked if people continue to flame and troll, we will begin suspensions immediately.

    This is the last warning.
