Since they asked in the Standard Forum, is seems likely they are asking for something in Standard. I am not sure there is anything in current standard that gives other things Flash.

I get why they wanted to designate half the cards or so to be Commander legal by default. Aside from just selling more packs of cards, it lets players enjoy them in lots of new ways, so that seems like a solid choice. My only question is, why the stamps? Wouldn't it be more straight-forward to just have some cards have silver borders and some have black borders? I mean, remember Steamflogger Boss? That was a black bordered card that you could open in an Un-set... so what's the difference here?
The difference is the sheet they are printed on. There is a reason Steamflogger Boss was printed on the Land sheet (the only other black bordered cards in Unstable). They just don't want to do multiple sheets with different rarity allocations to get the packs to work right. At least with Lands, they are always on their own sheet anyway so throwing an extra card on there isn't a big deal. Trying to do that to half the set and still keep the right rarity ratios either ends up with a set twice as big as they want it or just messes with the ratios entirely.

That's not to say they won't do what you suggest. But this isn't really evidence in support of that as the explanation is a bit simpler.

  • posted a message on Rayami first of the fallen rulings with ikoria counters
This forum is format specific rules for Commander. There is a Rulings forum for questions like this. And, when asking rules questions, card tags are mandatory: [c]Rayami, First of the Fallen[/c] = Rayami, First of the Fallen

When cards change zones, they lose whatever counters they have. So, in exile, Crystalline Giant will have none of its counters (it will have the Blood Counter of course) which means it has no abilities for Rayami to get.

  • posted a message on How does Yarok and Transform cards work
    A couple of things:

This forum requires card tags. [c]Yarok, the Desecrated[/c] = Yarok, the Desecrated. And "Transform" cards are ones that Transform. IE, say the word Transform on them. Like Huntmaster of the Fells. It sounds like you are not asking about Transform cards. You are just asking about cards that copy things.

In regards to Clone and Mirrormade: they do not have inherent triggers so they do not, by themselves, interact with Yarok. They have replacement effects that apply as they enter the battlefield. That being said, if they copy anything with an Enter the Battlefield trigger, it will be just like a "normal" one of those permanents enter and you will get double the triggers. Say your Clone copies a Wall of Omens. You will get two Wall triggers because it enters as a Wall and Yarok makes it trigger an extra time.

  • posted a message on Naming a wrong card with flickerwisp
First, you don't name a card with Flickerwisp so the comparison to Pithing Needle is not relevant. You choose a target. Regarding choosing a target and then changing your mind, the rules allow for someone to change their mind as long as they do so quickly and no information has been gained. The latter is problematic as the lack of action regarding the original target can be considered information.

In reality though, this just comes down to your playgroup's leniency. It seems like the decision was reversed relatively quickly, so I might suggest that you just let them change their mind. If you choose to adhere to a strict, unbending interpretation of the rules, the target is chosen and the ability resolved which means he is "locked in" to the target of Sun Titan.

Also, there is a forum for Rules questions where this should be asked. And it requires card tags as well.

But it was intended to effect only 1 damage to each. Like if you attack with 3 creatures it only stops 1 of the damage. Could someone give a solution to this tricky wording please? And thank you.

You want the wording I suggested in my comments above

+1: Until your next turn, whenever one or more sources would deal damage to you or a planeswalker you control, prevent 1 of that damage.
You can't use "whenever" for something like this. That wording only works as a trigger which means the damage already happened. It needs to be a prevention/replacement effect. Something like this should work:

+1: Until your next turn, prevent the next 1 damage that would be dealt to you or a planeswalker you control.

It is a bit weird to go across multiple turns, and it is a bit weird when things like Cavalier of Flame are involved, but really the Cavalier of Flame issue isn't much different than the "3 creatures dealing combat damage" issue so it shouldn't be too hard for people to understand.

Looks like you need to come up with a new name for your mechanic as this appears to be a mechanic in VOW. Quite a bit different too :p

  • posted a message on Curse of Conformity question
Well, you really have two questions here. First, Curse does not remove abilities. So Harmonic Sliver would still have its ability granting Slivers the ability to destroy an artifact or enchantment on ETB. However, you are specifically using a card that Curse *does* stop but only because it removes creature types. Since your Harmonic Sliver is no longer a Sliver, it will not grant its ability to itself so it can't trigger.

If you used something like Reclamation Sage it would work just fine.

EDIT 2: also, giving lands flash doesn't do anything. It is hard coded into the rules that you can only play a land on your turn when the stack is empty.
This part isn't exactly true. Giving lands Flash (which Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir could do with Dryad Arbor) does something: it allows you to play lands on your turn whenever you could cast an instant. The rule you are thinking of just says you can't play a land on other player's turns. Giving it Flash gets around the "empty stack in your Main Phase" part but doesn't let one ignore the rule about other turns.

In any case, I agree with you that the ability is pretty useless. There is no reason to give lands Flash especially with the requirement of getting a different land on the battlefield first. 99% of the time that is going to be the land for turn anyway which means there is nothing left to play.

110.5. A permanent's status is its physical state. There are four status categories, each of which has two possible values: tapped/untapped, flipped/unflipped, face up/face down, and phased in/phased out. Each permanent always has one of these values for each of these categories.

110.5a. Status is not a characteristic, though it may affect a permanent's characteristics.

110.5b. Permanents enter the battlefield untapped, unflipped, face up, and phased in unless a spell or ability says otherwise.

110.5c. A permanent retains its status until a spell, ability, or turn-based action changes it, even if that status is not relevant to it.
Example: Dimir Doppelganger says "{1}{U}{B}: Exile target creature card from a graveyard. Dimir Doppelganger becomes a copy of that card and gains this ability." It becomes a copy of Jushi Apprentice, a flip card. Through use of Jushi Apprentice's ability, this creature flips, making it a copy of Tomoya the Revealer with the Dimir Doppelganger ability. If this permanent then becomes a copy of Runeclaw Bear, it will retain its flipped status even though that has no relevance to Runeclaw Bear. If its copy ability is activated again, this time targeting a Nezumi Shortfang card (another flip card), this permanent's flipped status means it will have the characteristics of Stabwhisker the Odious (the flipped version of Nezumi Shortfang) with the Dimir Doppelganger ability.

110.5d. Only permanents have status. Cards not on the battlefield do not. Although an exiled card may be face down, this has no correlation to the face-down status of a permanent. Similarly, cards not on the battlefield are neither tapped nor untapped, regardless of their physical state.

  • posted a message on Summoning Sickness
You should ask Rules questions in the Rulings forum. And card tags are mandatory:

    [c]Goblin Sharpshooter[/c] = Goblin Sharpshooter

As to the question, nothing about the Goblin's ability changes anything about whether the Sharpshooter is sick. If it is sick, it can't tap for its ability (or attack). A creature dying will attempt to untap it and that is it. But since it is likely already untapped that won't do much either. A creature dying will not remove summoning sickness from it.

  • posted a message on Is there way in EDH to make it so when you cast/cheat Phage into play from your hand that you can give your opponent tokens?
Fractured Identity if you are playing Esper. Otherwise, Endless Whispers is probably the go to in mono-black. Fractured Identity requires some Flash enabler and Whispers is tough to just kill the whole table with if you are trying to respond to her trigger.

  • posted a message on MTG Pre-Release Kit Purchase Required QR Code Scan?
You seem to have ignored everyone else in this thread to promote some weird conspiracy theory that obviously has no basis in fact. There is no requirement like you are describing. I played in the prerelease for MID and I brought a credit card; no Companion Mobile App or scanning a QR code required.

Maybe your LGS *is* mandating that but the experience thus far says that they are the outlier and not following any sort of directive from Wizards to do that.

I agree that she is already over the top and giving her hexproof is ridiculous. A card that gives infinite mana *and* infinite ETBs/LTBs with Undying and Persist (and for only 3 mana) is just dumb. Not as dumb as the arguments given for leaving hexproof on there, but pretty dumb.

Worth noting, it doesn't work with Gravecrawler though. Since Gravecrawler is cast, it never enters from the graveyard; it enters from the stack. Taking away that one card obviously means nothing since it combos with about a billion other things. Even without hexproof, it just looks broken.

    Chance for Glory

Chance for glory says "At the beginning of *that turn's* end step....". If you skip that turn's end step, the trigger never triggers. Though, even if it did, you could have stopped the turn with the trigger on the stack which also would have stopped it from triggering again. So, no, it will not need Sundial perpetually. Once "that turn" is done and once "that turn's" end step is finished or skipped over, Chance for Glory no longer has any point where it can trigger.
