    What a bad card.

    Care to elaborate?

At X it would be way to powerful if your complaining about cost.

It still scales well and in the case of board stall or long games you can just hold back and make it bigger. Then even if they have some way to kill it it replaces itself with a bunch of fliers. seems good to me.

I like this. Gonna be nice to use this as a combat trick/finisher in limited.

    Sweet. Zombify plus.

    Yes. Zombify plus one mana...

ugh... you guys complain every set. I bet if this was 4 cmc you would say it should be 3. I don't understand you people. You are always disappointed with every set: "the cards are underpowered" "its overcosted." Just accept it and move on. Or just stick to playing with older cards. I don't see the point in being constantly dissatisfied with every new card/set spoiled.

No, at four mana we'd be talking about what reanimation targets are available in Standard. People complain because we're in a powered down Standard format, so most of the noncreature cards we get are worse than what we've had previously. Of course people are upset when we go from getting diamonds to coal.

Worse than what? as the guy said above, it does more than Zombify. For one extra mana you can pull a card from your opponents graveyard if you want and often give it 2 +1/+1 counters. seems fine to me. I just don't think you will ever be happy with what they give you. But keep being disappointed...its your choice.

Solid card in limited. 2 flying bodies is nice. Also has synergy with Thopter Spy Network and Pia and Kiran Nalaar.

except that they have removal for those things. or their dash creatures are too big to trade with my 2-3 drops. i.e. warbrute, screamreach, ambuscade shaman etc.. Also they can play 2+ creatures a turn which I can't seem to match. I wish there was instant speed mass removal in this format but their isnt.

I'm getting really irritated at how often I see and lose to these Black/Red dash decks in the DDF drafts. They get way too much on the board way too fast and deal you too much damage before you can do anything about it. Other than being a sheep and forcing that archetype myself are there any other archetypes or cards I can draft so I stop losing so badly against these BS decks?

Does anyone have any tips or advice of how to beat these seemingly unbeatable decks?

Looking for serious, constructive feedback only please.

Blood-chin rager... lets go go aggro.

mirror mockery isn't super amazing I mean its good but I am not sure it is first pickable.

I don't like the fight card, swift kick wasn't good so tail slash wont be either.

Except that it costs one less and doesnt fight. much better. really the only good removal choice in this pack.

Sure Green/Blue is possible. Any enemy color pair is possible but less likely to be well supported by your pool. The strongest and most consistents decks will be the allied pairs because of the dragons and mechanic support, etc...

Enemy pairs maybe a thing in draft, but pretty unlikely in sealed. Especially pre-release (seeded) sealed.

It's also kind of bad vs. bolster.dek.

Oh ya thats true, eh? It's base 0/2 power but the +1/+1 counters still add to that. Well then I guess its not really close to the power level of Pacifism. In that case I may change my vote to Tail Slash. Hmmmm.

I disagree on reduce in stature having significant variance in its effectiveness based on the colors your playing against. Its a removal spell no matter what they decide to with the targeted creature. Who cares if they sac it to exploit if you used it on a powerful or important creature. Yes it is slightly worse value because they were able to use it for something, but its still largely doing its job of disabling a big threat. If they don't have many strong creatures and you're playing against an army of much smaller threats, then yes it's worse, but that's the case for most removal except for the cheapest or twin bolt for example.

Ya I think I would have to go with Reduce in stature here as well. Its basically a blue pacifism. It's common downsides are of course that the target can still use abilities, chump block, and it can be removed with naturalize, return to earth, and the like.

Tail Slash is a one-sided, instant speed fight which is nice, but overall not as reliable as Reduce in Stature as you need a creature to use it and one powerful enough to kill the target.

Scale Blessing and Ambuscade have high potential but need to be built around to reach it.

Wasn't sure at first but looking over the set again I can say with confidence that Mirror Mockery is pretty terrible in this format. It has almost no use with the commons and uncommons of this set if casting on your own creature. And unfortunately even if used on a hasted creature, the token cannot attack as it comes into play after attacks. Its only reliable use is a pseudo pacifism when played on the opponents creature. Cant even sack the token to exploit since all but 1 of the exploiters are non-flash.
Just realized thati t does however work ok if put on an exploit creature as I believe they can sack themselves for their effect. So pop this on say a rakshasa cravecaller and build up some zombies.

The Elk Herd and Blood Chin are the best creatures and certainly consistent, but not as powerful as the removal spells I think. So ya I would have to agree with Tennessee and go with Reduce in Stature as the safest pick. As we get more play testing info with synergy cards like Ambuscade, we may see that these have the potential power to be 1st picks though.

Sorry I forgot to add that I was splashing in the Flamerush Rider. That was why I had the red sources.

About the BG build, it looks so solid now that you guys suggest it. Has a good amount of creatures and removal. I swear when I was going over my pool I saw only like 10 creatures in those colors. Must missed some stuff... Anyway I like Temur War shaman too but I guess I was turned off of it by the fact that there are almost no morphs and very little manifest in my pool.

I also suppose that I was overreaching because I've been beaten by so many 4-5 color sealed decks that splash a bunch of good cards/bombs so I thought that was the way to go.

Thank you for your input so far guys.

Is your modo handle Boomer_Claus? If so, I wouldn't worry about it, you just had really strong opponents Wink
    Nice dragon btw.

So then you were one of the players that beat me? What do you want me to say? You're better than me. Fine. I don't deny it. Now is it possible for you to stop mocking me and actually give some advice? If you are serious, "had strong opponents" doesn't really help me. I'm looking for honest input about my pool and build choice.

Anyone else have any opinions on it?
