Well, through much effort I managed to come up with an entry of my own this week. I apologize if it isn't very elegant. I really only have very basic skills with this and paint.net to work with.
Created with Dawn Charm + Midnight Charm plus this yin and yang img. I like playing on the concept of grayscale with the idea of yin and yang. I took a fire and water version of it to tie it into the colors of magic a bit better and then grayscaled the images. Technically, I should have put the midnight charm on the water side and the dawn charm on the fire side for a little more consistency with it but I didn't notice it until I was wrapping up and didn't feel like backtracking.
As for size.... whatever lol. I got something created at least.

I noticed a post from ExpiredRascals asking for someone to restart the weekly contests, and while I'd love to do that, I'd like to first know if there's actually any interest in this. I have no problem starting them again and I'm able to maintain the contest consistently, I just want to make sure we'll actually be receiving entries.
I started teaching my girlfriend how to play Magic today and I must say, I'm actually really impressed. She got the hang of it within one game and actually beat me using the intro packs I bought to teach her.
I just felt the need to post this because it's one of those things I never really thought would happen. It's like a life goal of mine has now been achieved.
I think it's a bit over the top to complain about what food's sold in American supermarkets; there's a market based reason as to why it's sold.
How many consumers eat "white" food compared to traditional Indian food, for example? A very large majority. Supermarkets aren't deliberately avoiding selling "ethnic" foods, they're just selling what they know will be bought by more of their customers. Not only that, but there are ethnic food isles in every supermarket I've been to, and many even have an individual Asian and Hispanic food isle.
Based on the argument of supermarkets not delivering a wide enough spectrum of foods, does this mean that Asian food markets should start selling more American, European, and African foods? Should food chains that sell non-American food start offering hamburgers and hot dogs on their menu? And if your answer's no, why not? Why should one chain have to compensate for all ethnic backgrounds but not another?
Supermarkets, and businesses as a whole, sell what they know will make them the most profit, and this is just another example of that.
