Yes this is true but I am reffering to the mass majority of people. How many Mother Teresas are there out there? For most people the only long lasting legacy and fufillment that they can instill is through children that was my point. You can do as much humanitarian work and good things for people as you want, but chances are is that unless you become an icon like Mother Teresa no one will remember you and I would rather die not alone but surrounded by the family that I helped create and added life and something pure to this world. That is something that you can only do through having a child. This is of course all my opinion and I respect your opinion and choice not to have kids I always find it interesting to here completely opposite points of view. It si fascinating to me that as humans we are built practically the same but yet we can see so many things so differently. Smile

Snowden is an attention seeking selfish piece of #$$%. Compared to the rest of the world government, what the US government is doing is not even worth mentioning.

Snowden is only motivated by fame and potential wealth that may come with it down the line.

Yes ok so the whole NSA thing is rather medial compared to what other governments are doing but that's not the big picture. The entire U.S. government is corrupt ever here about Obam droning and double tapping civillians in the name of "the fight against terrorism" if those people were droning and killing our civillians I'm pretty sure we'd be mad as well. The U.S. causes all of it's problems. Oh and did your hear!? Obama is giving guns to Syrian rebels! remind you of Osama Bindladen way back when? The U.S. government is a joke

I currently do not have any kids because I am still attending university and donot hav the spare resources to raise a child. After I get out of university though me and my wife to be are hoping to have one or maybe two children. I believe that children are the only real meaning in this life. If you do not have a child what have you left behind that really matters. Sure you could be great at your job but nobody is going to write "the best computer analyst" on your gravestone. Even if you go down in history you will eventually be forgotten but you will never be forgotten by your children and you will live on in their hearts and the hearts of their children and so on. I see far to much emphasis put on the money factor of raising a child. My father grew up dirt poor three days of the week he did not have food on the table the other four days it was bread and some meat. His father died when he was 2 years old and he had to begin working when he was 7 because his mother was unable to work. My father is now making more money than most the people in my community and is oneof the greatest people I know and has raised me to be proud of who I am and become very succesful. His mother taught him what it meant to work hard and earn your way, and that nothing comes easy. She taught him what it meant to be a real man and how to raise a family. You see it's not about what you give your kids economically its what you give to them through your teaching and love. I just graduated high school a year ago and I can tell you that the rich kids are just as bad as the poor kids and that money doesn't create better children it just creates better looking children. I will be well off when I complete university and I will be able to give my child everything but even if I couldn't I would still raise a child to be respectful, kind, and hard working.

I believe he shed ligth on the corrupt U.S. government that so many American's have been sheepishly following and cheering for. Up until the past month Obama was seen as a great figure of man kind and was so honest and pure and for the people and their security and rights. He is such a lieing hypocritical piece of **** and what Snowden did was really what helped show the masses just how much different he is from their percieved picture. People don't pay attention to Obama's mindless dronings and double tapping, because that happens overseas for the "fight against terrorism". People will never rise up against a President for something like that because people really don't care about other people around the world. But this breach of security and rights certainly affects every American personally and that is why I believe Snowden is a hero. He managed to shed light on a corrupt system and hopefully awaken the U.S. cititzens and cititzens of nations across the world to be more skeptical and to protect yourself from the government.

thanks for the advice everyone helped make my decision process easy and to the person who asked what I meant by alot I just meant 2 or 3 boxes :p and yea it would be cheaper to buy just the cards I need but I like the experience of opening a box so it's nice that way.

I have seen some pictures relating to Theros and it really has me excited. I was wondering if from players who have played longer should I buy a lot of the core set or should I wait for the block and buy lots of Theros? I knwo it's hard to derive a decision not knowing the cards that are going to be in each set but just from the past is the first big block usually better than the core ore vice versa thanks.

  • posted a message on I miss when games for the PC always came in hard copies
I really miss my hard copies I absolutely hate HATE downloading all my games. Steam is an interesting service, but for a gamer who is 17 and can't obtain a mastercard or visa until I'm 18 and visa gift cards are frusteratin (small amounts left on card and pay taxes on the card at store) so I can't get many games that are only on steam or take advantage of any of their sales. Anybody know of any good Canadian websites or stores on ebay to buy booster boxes from. I find myself getting killed by shipping and import charges everywhere I look and my local shops sells booster boxes for 140 bucks which is a bit pricey IMO.

  • posted a message on Feminism has failed.
the problem with feminism is this - men and women are different. Men have evolved to be stronger and do more physically demanding tasks and women's brains have developed to make them better speakers and negotiaters, hence the rise in business women. Feminists have a skewed view of the world as if every man is out to get them and they become major hypocrits. That is my main problem with feminists they are probably the most hypocritical group of individuals on the planet. I have seen a trend in my time now where a single mother will raise her daughters to be feminists (probably due to a misfortunate struggle with the father of the child). This is very sadening to me because it gives the child a sense that all men are bad and that they have to be completely independent to be succesful and lead a meaningful life. This is of course a blatant falacy I as a man am reliant on my partner and she on me I would be so much less without her and I admit that because we as human beings no matter how much you supress the feelings yearn for a relationship and to truely connect with another person. To finish off my post I would like to give you a scenario of gendre profiling that is totally acceptable but feminists an extremeists would have a problem with but it's just the way it is - A man walks into a beauty salon for an interview and has a good interview answers all questions well and is knowledgable of the products available in the store; Secondly, a female comes in for an interview and gives the same interview and she gets hired because she is a girl and can relate to a greater populus of the stores consumer base. Is this discrimination against men? NO it is merely the reality of the situation that a girl is naturally better at such a job the same as a man is naturally better at hard labour. Yes there are exceptions but I prefer to look at the big picture.
