I don't have an artifact themed Cube or deck that is all artifacts, like, not even close...but in terms of something new, cool, interesting and for something to pull people into Rakdos, I reckon this guy will be worth it. Even just making the 1/1's as blockers and ticking up, removing some stuff, perfect. Sneak Attacking out a Battleball and getting 3 back will be memorable and it will be in a Red/Black shell. May not work, may be awesome, either way, I will be testing it for sure!
A lot of these Conspiracy cards kinda come off as unset stuff to me, not the stuff I am looking for in my Cube. Cool card and powerful but I am going to steer clear of this one.
Yep, I run Mentor at 360. Even Outside of a purely Spells Matter archetype I have found him to be great. Probably one of the better White creatures if not the best three drop. Pick early, build around, have fun! If you get to jam with Mentor, Young Pyro and Soulfire GM, casting a Lightning Bolt feels pretty good man. #FeelsGoodMan
Craterhoof has come in and out over the life of my Cube and has settled back in for the long haul I believe. My group really likes him and there are a few ramp players that appreciate him at the top end. I got attacking recently for 112 damage, died, but wasn't even mad, I deserved it. Fun card that leads to crazy combats that require a calculator. Sure, a 5/5 Haste for 8 isn't good setting this guy up isn't that hard and it's good pay off. Big Craterhoof fan.
Cyclonic Rift see's play, when it's Overloaded is called OP, but most of the time it's a bounce for 2, but for being versatile, it stays in. It could come out and no one would miss but it but it's a fun card.
Of the other questions, I play Sealed/Booster Draft EDH in between Cube League seasons, watch as much coverage and possible, listen to as many podcasts as a I can. I like to play Dimir colour combo wise and I JUST missed Innistrad but came in for Dark Ascension after having played in early High School, Ice Age/Mirage probably.
That story above from Usman makes me want to really play Emrakul.
I have been unsure about it as I took out the new Eldrazi that you could reanimate (yes, I know that makes them more playable) but found it pretty boring after the first few times have them reanimated against you on Turn 2 so unsure about a 13/13 flier with built in semi protection. Still, the cast trigger is pretty great.
I have no zombie synergy going on in my Cube but I am drawn to this card. I love Pack Rat in Cube though, a lot. Recently I remember being tied 1-1 with 7 mins to play, my opponent stalled slightly and I got Pack Rat going, he was dead within 2 minutes. Cryptbreaker isn't going to be like this at all, but a T1 Cryptbreaker presents some pretty interesting game options but tapping him sucks. Still, keen to keep following this thread to see if he starts getting some love.
I just took out my Black 1 drop aggro support as my Cube group aren't really aggro players so I am doing something different with Black and Cryptbreaker could work here I guess.
I really like all three of these cards. Geist seems the most out of place in terms of synergy but for raw power the card is great. Anyone else trying to squeeze Spell Queller in and if so, what are you taking out or are you unsure like me?
I'll pretty much play Bob in any (most) deck. If I can get some kinda blue top deck manipulation (Ponder, Preordain etc) going or Top, sure, but either way, I am drawing cards! I like Brimaz and I like Isamaru equally.
My Golgari section is too tight a the moment sadly. For me to consider this guy needed to be a 2/3 or have Haste. Asking too much probably but a 2/2 to attack into nothing on Turn 3 to gain value, sure it will happen or you burn a premo removal just to get his trigger or trade him into a 2/1?
At GG I'd say he'd be just about a slam dunk as is.
I am not mad/sad dogging about this card but I was expecting a higher CMC with some token producing action, maybe like a Black Gideon-esque style card but no biggie. Will be interesting to see if she works out in other formats. Her +1 does kill a fair bit of stuff in Cube and if you get her down on curve on the play she could do some damage and perhaps work towards her ultimate. I wouldn't be able to tell you what LotV's ultimate even as I don't check these out too much but I reckon the end game is getting to Last Hope's ultimate. Quite nice artwork too.
Keen to see people's impression's of this when they start testing though!
Sheesh! I don't really support Green aggro at all but I am a sucker for a 2/1 for 1 with upside regardless of colour. #greenlivesmatter
I do play Experiment One and Warden of the First Tree though as I really like them and they always seem to make it into a deck so perhaps I am halfway there. It's times like this playing 360 sucks.
Our group loves this one and you need to respect the Entity or die to it. It is true it is fragile and sometimes you are just playing it out for it to die but when it sticks around, you are probably winning. I haven't been able to kill this thing a few times and have just died. I can't see cutting this anytime soon but I can see in some groups where it doesn't see much play or is valued highly. It took for someone to do really well it for it to really be feared in our group.

I am currently running:
Supreme Verdict
Geist of Saint Traft
Reflector Mage

I like the flip fight and giving something +4/+4 is better than Wolfir Silverheart as a one off trick as it keeps it even if Ulrich dies.
