I think this is unfair to those who don't have a favorite magic card.
Thinking hard would give me:
Past in Flames
I'm a Johnny. This is a Johnny card. I love non permanent spells more than anything else in magic, and this works really (like really) well with them, while being one itself. It enables cool combo (and control!) decks, which are my favorite type of decks. It's just all around good.
I really like Past in Flames. Even if my favorite colour is blue :/

The Compass and the Diamonds ETBT, meaning they don't give me any mana on the turn I play them (with cost reducers (Usually the Helm and the Anvil) all my manafacts are free and tap for mana).Posted in: Deck Compilation
This actually builds me storm counts. The Frantic Search is in.
The deck has played like a Storm Combo deck that wins through Leering Emblem or Runechanter's Pike Damage.
The Mind's Desire actually hasn't been great. I've only used it once, with a storm count higher than the number of cards left in my library and I could have just gone through my library and won anyways. Maybe it could have helped me "combo out" earlier but I was waiting to draw that turnabout. -

Missing: Deadly Tempest, Aetherspouts. Cut suggestions?
It might be an interesting idea to take a picture of that surface once a week to see the progression. You'll be like "Oh yeah, theses two piles disappeared and that one appeared when I made X deck".
I wasn't a huge fan of ISBP's Ephara deck, partly because I already had one that was more similar to his first one, which I am happy with, and partly because it included way too many cards I didn't have, it felt really expensive to put together. I don't really like creatures, and his deck was too creature focused for an agro deck, for my liking(this makes no sense). I guess that means he had too many creature slots (like 38 or something) and I tend to like way less (my Ephara deck is half artifacts, so a lot of artifact ramp, and lots of token producing artifacts, with a bit of creatures, but lots of creature support, which is why I like it). Oona agro or big dudes agro would let me get away with less creatures, haha.
I get that. I play once a week for like 2.5 hours, but easily spend 5 times that on various magic things. I get the sentimental too, but usually only after I've had a deck too long. I think I take a bad approach. My method seems to take the deck apart to make another, and keep the rest around, intending to rebuild/update it, which keeps me from feeling bad. Then once I get over it, I end up cannibalising it for other decks. That ir I try to remake a version so bad I end up scraping it, which feels fine, cause I feel like I'm getting rid of a bad deck, not that one I've had for 2 years
I just noticed BaconOfTheArc is back.
I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
Where's Mox, haven't seen him in a while?
Actually, bob just reminded me of something. I've been trying to make a agro-ey deck in commander. One that isn't Voltron, tribal, or edric. Probably with blue too. I was thinking of a weird "artifact ramp" hard into Oona, and use her tokens as agro pieces. The rest of the deck is control, or agro support cards, with very few sltos actually dedicated to the actual cards. I kinda wanted to add a Doomsday package that only helps agro (like extra turn or I don't know, anything non combo).
I also considered a weird BUg(maybe) deck with a lot of fairly large creatures, which I try to get into play ASAP through ramp, alternate costs, or reanimation, and clone effects to get even more of those big creatures for cheap, but I dunno.
Any of you have a magic table type thing? My computer desk and the table beside it get overrun by magic cards. See below. This mess has been there so long (and get constantly used, like, last time was as of 2 hours ago) that those deckboxes come from the set of mono colored commander decks, and haven't been moved. I think that and my set of cards I got from KtK that haven't moved are the oldest set of things in there that can give me a hint on how long I've had that lovely mess.
70%-80% of mine are contanstly "ok". And there are a few that are disassembled (Child, Keranos, whatever had the green sleeves), some that I want to put together (like 15 decks, notably Tasigur, Karador, Keranos, Alesha) some that I want to modfiy (Narset, Nicol Bolas (change sleeves at least, same with Ojutai)), some I want to take apart (Lazav, Oloro) some I currently like (Glissa, Aily, Glissa, Ephara, Rakdos, Edric) and some I don't want to think about (Animar).
bleh.
Oloro can give his sleeves to Ojutai/Ephara/Aily, and than I can switch them if need be. Lazav/aily can give his sleves to Bolas. Tasigur gets the green ones or Aily's or even Lazav's. Keranos Stays, and I make Alesha?
I'm not a huge fan of Geist in commander. I've never seen one do well, and if they do, it isnt due to Geist.
Anyone know if there are any control-ish decks that work in EDH that rely primarily on non permanent spells? I have one in Grixis, but I'd like to "fix" my Narset deck, but with additional restrictions (superfriends), and would like to know if it's possible.
EDIT: Actually, after removing 20 cards from Keranos to make Narset, I'm wondering what to do with the Keranos shell.
What would you guys do with it?
Since whe does MTGS have those horrible adds?
I caught mono. The nickname "kissing disease" makes it oddly appropriate.
I noticed you two, but not cryo.
This place is changing fast. I came cause the other day someone linked here from reddit.
What would creatureless animar be? Voltron with color changing?
I did it as a reanimator deck. She provides an attack deterrent and a sac outlet. Also great colours and a way to not die if need be. She also becomes removal at a certain point. I had 3 Sheoldred, and couldnt find any when trying to make the deck.
Really? Really?
Sure, whatever.
The only change I dislike is the mulligan change, and even then, so what, such a small difference.
Weird
I cantt get any use out of any comments i get at mtgs while i cant get any use from most cmmens i see on rddit. Apart from the rampant 75% movement it seems fine.
When it comes to deckbuilding discussion, id put it over mtgs.
Not in terms of number of people though, or general chat.
I made a cool rakdos the defiler deck
