I started playing at FMNs around December and I go 3 times a week to modern events since I have the free time.
Even still I have lots of free time and I want to inquire about MTGO.
Main point- how can I tell if my toaster of a computer can run MTGO? I am worried about paying the money and then not being able to use it. My comp stuggles to run league of legends
Secondary point- Can I buy individual cards? I have a cheap modern deck that I have won well more then I spent for it in the past few weeks and if I do play MTGO I would just buy the deck
How does trading with other players work if we can trade with other players? Can we trade cards to other players for credit so we can get the cards we want without having to fish for them?
If you really want a wolf run deck why not run the tron lands with wolf run and ways to get them all.
Use it with thurn the last troll and people can't really deal with you after you set up you would need a hell of a mana base for a deck like that but it may work
You could also try using mana ramp that isn't creatures then using a board wipe before you drop your big baddies
BUT I don't think my ideas here are all that viable if you really want a buff deck you can try infect
I would add some of the rares, as quite a few of them really help with some strategies, such as Verdeloth, Pyromancer's Swath, Auriok Salvagers etc. Many of them aren't even expensive.
I wouldn't even consider trying to make Grapeshot work unless I had a Pyromancer's Swath in my deck imo.
Very true I just don't want to put trade value into my cube like doubling season but we did pull some that don't have trade value like that dam green dragon that was a sad pull
My friend and I have been considering making a modern masters cube from our uncommon and commons. We did not want to use rares since many of them are great for trading.
However we have no idea how to go about making such a cube, we do not know how many cards, if we should have doubles (since its only from the single-pack type) or the ratio of cards
How should we go about making a modern masters cube? and does the size of the cube depend on the amount of players? If so we normally would have 4-8
Help us please
P.S. if you have a link to a guide of cube building that would be useful as well
I have thought about this myself for a while, simply because they looked like fun.
My idea was to make a black white tron deck. Use Weathered Wayfarer in order to get the plant, tower, and mine from your deck (path can help get them to have more lands than you;))
However I have no idea if it will work I would love it to though
Also a blue enchantment exists that reduces the cost of activated abilities it is one mana but I do not know the name
Hey for the past few weeks I have been playing a wizard deck at local stores and have done fairly well with it, and I think I got it to the point were I am not embarrassed to share the deck online.
I have been playing casual for a long time but I am new to competitive so I have a lot of trouble with the side.
My biggest problem with the current side is dealing with hard core control (specifically American control, scapeshift is no problem)
Well I am here to fish for some help for the strange deck that I came up with:nod:
In addition I forgot to point out that I have also been having trouble versing Liliana of the Veil I found myself unable to kill her if she hits the field and if I side in my commandeer I lose to many cards to stay alive, since the decks that run her are often those that run the strong 3 drop semi-agro decks (like Knight of the Reliquary )
What cards are used in sides to deal with American control and black white green decks with liliana?
Also I wanted to find some room for serum visions but I can't find anything to cut, and I wanted to add a 1 drop would cosi's trickster be good? If I am versing a deck without fetches he does get stronger off of path to exile and I can side him out
Normally because you get to pick the land but in this deck that will not really matter, also depends on the ratio of lands to non-lands might not make it worth it.
Although that being said it is a very solid card...
For future reference it would be nice if you said what the card did for you when you ask for a budget version
Like in this case we don't know if you want cavern for the can't be countered or the mana fixing. Just a helpful tip when asking for advise:)

Path to exile and lighting bolt can help stay alive
You can save all lands after 3 for the lighting storm
Also Gitaxian Probe can tell you if it is time to pop the storm
Thoughts?
