GGT is such a painfully boring unban, I agree with that. That realization, alone, is a bit scary, because it begs the question why the heck was it banned to begin with when everyone knew Dread Return was the real offender, anyway? How many other cards can harmlessly come off of the list?
Someone in the thread previously stated that it was banned before dread return was banned. I don't know if it is true but it seems like a logical conclusion
Well, MTGS forums continue to be a cesspool of bad game designers (and players who think they are game designers). The bannings are going to be great for Modern, as every other deck except Pod and Delver get better (even U/W(R) control because they don't have to worry about being out-attritioned by other decks that play blue. It's going to diversify, whether you people see it yet or not.
Simple question, will it bring more diversify than pre-KTK (Pod exists in the META)? If not, why Pod deserves a ban right now? Who is the trouble maker?
My only guess is siege rhino or fear of the deck becoming stronger in the near future, since it gets more toys per set than most other decks

From what I have seen in this thread is that people are concerned about BGx (the rock) supressing the format and preventing it from diversifying, I don't know if that will happen or not but it is food for thought
Overall, however, I can't agree with the doom and gloom that some people try to spread. There will be room for more archetypes than before now, who can even argue the opposite ? Pod players can still play a really strong Abzan Midrange game with just changing around a few cards. It's not the end of the world, people, and certainly not an attempt by Wizards to "kill Modern"(I'm sure someone has already claimed it is or someone will soon say so).
I wouldn't say your wrong but those few cards you say have price tags of 80$, 80$ and 200$... which means in some cases it would be cheaper to buy a new deck than convert pod
I wonder if Wizards inherently dislikes the idea of blue being good in modern. Historically the color has been so strong in legacy and vintage, perhaps wizards really just wants to diversify Modern and Legacy archetypes? Could that be the reason for the ban on DIG?
the largest concern about the bans is that the ROCK style decks (BGx) will dominate the format again
Well done polls friend, I am glad not to see a linear poll of "was this good or bad" it was thought out with a few different options, the ability o say I like the bans but not the unbans or the unbans but not the bans is great.
The pod ban does not feel like an emergency "it's to strong" ban but rather a preemptive ban.
The reason that I say this is because wizards has been continuing their trend of stronger creatures and weaker spells for quite a while now, and I feel that they are scared that pod will become to dominant as more sets come out. I guess they just do not want to deal with pod dominating in the near future and would rather get it gone now.

I don't really want it banned either, more of off handed curiosity.
