(but no, we can't call that Proliferate)

Perhaps because, you know, it's not even remotely Proliferate though this does seem to be a trendy sort of complaint of late.

Is that not the *exact* wording of Proliferate?? Confused

I'm a big fan of Yahenni and Metallic Mimic, will definitely be going in my deck (when built).

As for Grenzo, has anyone felt that he actually put in work for their deck? He always seemed underwhelming when I tried him.

I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere yet, but I really like Rakdos, Lord of Riots in the deck.

Doubles down on Yidris' strengths without being too win more. Also, his requirement is pretty trivial in a deck that want to be smacking face lots anyway. Biggest problem is, of course, that BBRR

EDIT: Also, that sweet, sweet Etherium-Horn Sorcerer synergy

You guys are super out of touch with the commander community as a whole, after over a year working at my LGS, I can assure you we are the minority. Anyone reading this post is the minority in the commander community. The VAST majority of players come in buy 1-2 precons and $0-20 in singles (this is where our upscale skills come in handy), a good third opt to not buy sleeves playing the deck "as it is".

If someone comes into your LGS to play magic, they are at the hardcore end of the spectrum. That's right, those guys who come in for their first draft and the ones who can't quite wrap their head around what Standard is, they are your hardcore Magic players. Your casual Magic players have no idea game stores even exist, let alone set foot in one.

The MAJORITY of the people who buy this precon are likely to never alter a card, they probably will play literally at the kitchen table with a their partner (couples were probably our biggest demographic for commander precons) and a couple of friends, with their deck unsleeved and they are going to think this card is the absolute nuts. The red players will love it and the rest will think it's OP.

Well I did the worst I've ever done with this deck or any other, dropping at 0-3.
Grixis Delver (0-2), then Naya Burn (1-2), then another Grixis Delver (1-2). Between matches 1 and 3 I had Kolaghan's Command resolve against me (as a 2-for-1) about 10-12 times. This combined with a few critical misplays sealed my fate. Kept the best anti-burn hand in game 3 of match 2 and was stuck with 2 land all 7 turns of the game, then lost my Vial (on 2) to Destructive Revelry. GG.
On the upshot got some good testing for these match-ups, Linvala never hurt, post-board Thrun was an all-star, I really need Auriok Champions instead of the Firewalkers and Mindcensor did nothing even when it hit the board.

This is the deck I will be piloting tomorrow at my local PPTQ.
I am anticipating a lot of Twin, Tron, Burn, Delver and GBx with a little bit of CoCo, Affinity and some random stuff. With this in mind, I have one hard cut from the main (Finks, Liege, or Command) and one hard addition for the side (Mindcensor, Dismember, Surgical Extraction, Burrenton Forgetender or Batterskull), additionally I haven't been able to get a hold of Auriok Champions to replace the Kor Firewalkers. I probably won't have time to check any suggestions before the tourney, but I'll make sure to follow up with my list and a small write-up of my results.

Looking at GW, heavily inspired by Jendo's list, what are people feelings on the Anafenza/Hierarch non-bo?

Having to give counters to Noble Hierarchs seems bad, or is it only being used on Flickerwisps persisted Finks?

Also, given the relative fragility of the creatures and tight mana we often experience, can someone try to sell my on SoLaS and Dromoka's Command, at a glance I feel like these may be more trouble than they are worth.

Edit: My meta is Grixis/UR Delver, Twin, Abzan Midrange. I'm seeing a lot of Bolts, Paths, Electrolyze and Abrupt Decay.

Canopy is great with grunt- very synergistic- that extra card to feed a bin for a turn can sometimes be like a timewalk vs grindy decks with very small goyfs on the table and a few held back cards in hand.

I dislike student in my build, partly because of the W level cost - running 4 canopies that often get popped it can be hard to get the w- and partly because running 4 splicer (+4 vault) and 4 thalia I already have a lot of first strike on the ground.

I am not saying don't run student, but I would point out that there are a lot of 0/5 walls of roots and 0/4 walls in midrange decks and student etc. does not get past them, or indeed that perenial favourite the restoration angel in every other creature deck. Against twin or storm combo the level effect rarely gets to double strike. Unless you are running exalted a 3/3 first striker probably doesn't get past 50% of the men in the format.

Evasion is the key to winning vs creature decks, you need to make sure there is enough- I chose to cut student for that reason.

Secondly I run 4 thalia, and 2 mindcensor in my GW build (with 4 arbiter of course). Its not especially uncommon - a lot of lists have mindcensor at 2-3- and nearly all the lists have thalia as a 4 of.

I find student to very often stay a 1/1, maybe that's just my meta, but it is unrunnable here. even before i added mutavaults or horizon. If i were to main a 1 drop it would be dryad militant (meta choice).

What is your view on resto angel? and which do you prefer out of finks vs riftwatcher?

Like I said a few posts ago, I rarely cast him with the intent on beating a ton of face with him. I generally run it as a graveyard hate card that can also be a threat for a few turns as well. He is a poor choice if you are running him for his butt.

Hmm, well first of all I would not run 4 Horizon Canopy. I like 2 just fine, though I could stretch to 3. Off the top of my head the deck would be something like"

    [deck]
That is just a really quick revision of my GW build, but the cards I swapped in were cards I was running and liking before I started running green. If you are dead set on running some Angels, then I think swapping out the Students to make slots since you have trouble with W mana.

I see your point with grunt.

I find it interesting that you run 4 thalias and 2 mindcensors.

Restoration angel is one of my favourite cards in the deck, the only reasons i am thinking of altering the deck, is to add consistency, resilience and to improve my chances without a vial in play.

I found green to more inconsistent, also i refuse to shell out for voice and heirarchs.
QPM and gaddock pique my interest, but the manabase couldn't take it.

EDIT: Jotun Grunt interests me as well, he is huge, passing the bolt test, living through a pyroclasm and having a decent effect to boot. But i am concerned he may die too often to his own effect.

Also DR.Worm, if you were to build a mono-white build utilising 3-4 mutavault, 4 horizon canopy and 4 blade splicer, what would you build?

You could try DolZero's counsel and try running Green and Noble Hierarch. You could also try swapping out finks for Aven Riftwatcher since it only requires a single W mana. Another suggestion I might add is to take out one or two Canopy and a single Mutavault, and add in basics in their place. When I was running four I hit it too many times when I needed a color producing land, and the life loss adds up. The card draw from it helps occasionally, but too many times I kept it in play because I was saccing GQ and TE for more advantage.

Well the riftwatcher will survive 'clasm but then Finks just comes back from it, so I think people ought to try both and see what they prefer. Either way I think you should probably think about running 4 slots between the two (or of just one) rather than 3 main deck. You could also look at a pro-red creature. I always ran Soltari Priest for that since it swings past everything.

As for your extra slot, why not try a couple of Mask of Memories? It can really help, IMO, and it is colorless. Jotun Grunt is also a lovely choice, though I would not run more than three. I truly dislike running cards like Revoker main deck, but if it is not a dead card for you then go for it.

I don't like that route, the only thing i really want to play from G/W is Gaddock.

I may remove resto's entirely (expensive) and will relegate revokers to side.
I like grunt but am worried it will die to it's own effect often.

Changing the manabase would be a last resort.
I tried and severely disliked G/W already.

I feel like Mask would just put me behind a turn.

I just need some solid creatures that can serve as a threat without Vial.

First time posting, recently won a random modern night with my mono-white D&T, going 3-0-1.

My biggest fear with this deck is my vial-less game. I have been incredibly lucky to have drawn or mulled to vial in over %90 of my matches, but have noticed that when I am forced to play without vial, it is almost auto-lose. My biggest fear from an outside source is Pyroclasm.

After the tourney i took out my 4 Serra Avengers in anticipation of adding in 4 Mutavault, I would love some help in replacing my 4 empty slots, with something I can drop early and consistently despite having a large % of colorless land, preferably also helping my game while i do not have Vial in play.

I would also like to know what you guys do when faced with pyroclasm, and less importantly Elesh Norn.
