What do you think of playing jace, vryns prodegy in this deck? He seems like a natural fit for this kind of strategy. Also, do you think bring to light has any place in this deck? It seems like it could be super good as your other ascendancys or fatestichers if you can make the mana work. Also, have you guys considered gifts ungiven for this deck? seems like that could be good as well.

Still can't believe no ones talking about jace.

I have actually found him to make the combo much better, I can use the mites and exarchs to untap him in response to a removal spell, and he allows you to loot away unecissary combo peices

Depends on how light you are on the combo. Imo there are a lot worse cards. Has anyone else tested with jace, vyrns prodegy? I feel like I am taking crazy pills here being the only one trying him out

Thoughts on the new jace? I think he's pretty good vs Jund, as he's good early and late. I split the finals of an iq yesterday with 2 in my deck, I only cast it once vs merfolk and it was awesome. I was able to loot through unnecessary combo peices, and then I was able to flashback a visions and a then a bolt

Hey guys I was thinking of jumping over from UR to grixis twin, but I wanted to know what our best and worst matchups are? Also are there any matchups that are as bad as say, Abzan Company Vs Tron?

There are no aweful matchups, and all the great matchups are just as great with the ur version. In my oppinion, where this deck gets the uper hand is vs the other non-linear decks. Those being BGx decks, Delve, and twin mirrors. Baisicly any matchup where the splintertwin combo is bad. Vs those decks with ur, the matchup is a lot harder than it is when you get good value spells that trade well with their spells like the br command and terminate. You also get to play tasigur, which is an excelent control finisher when the little guys dont work out. This deck is worse against the decks where comboing is plan A, like many of the combo decks including: Burn, Infect, and storm. Even though these matchups do get harder in theory, you will find yourself happy to see tasigurs with all the disruption, because that alone can steal games.

What it comes down to for me is whichever deck is going to be better vs the delver decks (which seem really popular but inherantly flawed IMO). A word on bitterblossom: you may see it as extra life loss, but its mainly there for the matchups where you would very much like to trade life for board presence (blue mirrors and rock decks) and it often ends up gaining you life over the longrun by creating a stream of blockers, which is somthing twin has never really had. Also, I think the grixis version has a lot better matchup against the grindy decks, mainly because of the command. Having played with it, I think that is by far the best reason to splash. Late game buying back a snap and doing literally anything else is insane in those matchups. I would like to know what people think about the delver matchup. I dislike thrun a lot right now, because all the decks that he used to be good against are jamming x/5s now. I just played a game with olivia and it seemed super good, though im not sure if I like it yet. It seems like its really good vs BGw, but not so much against jund. Most jund lists are running 3 terminate and 2 decay now, which is a good thing for Rug but not so much for tasigur and friends. I still have no idea which one I like more, though in general I like the option to be aggresive when going to a tourney like a gp with an open field, and I think goyf is good to have vs a lot of the tier 2 decks (Tron, Affinity, Faeries, and all the combo decks). Rant over

How are you guys approaching the grixis delver matchup? How are you sideboarding? I have been taking out almost all twins as rug, though I imagine that's a bit harder with grixis

What is everyone's opinion on rug vs grixis? I feel like the rug deck is more consistent overall, mainly because your dude is always 2 mana. I like golf vs all the other blue decks, and your sideboard is a lot better for the blue and rock match ups. On the other hand, you bet a lot of good spells if your playing grixis, and you also get bitterblossom and discard for the blue match ups. I am rely torn but I'm abut ready to just jam golf's because I feel like it's much better vs delver with things like thrun and thragtusk out of the board. I'm not sure to what degree the popularity of grixis is because of lack of goyfs, but it seems like that could be a factor. Help me out here guys.

Couple questions about some mu for rug twin:
    Tron:
Is this good or bad? I know its good for ur twin but testing makes it seem like the matchup is closer to even.

UR delver and other small ur(x) tempo decks:
    How do you board?

And Keranos in vs pod. Should I bring it in?

And thrun vs ur twin and the mirror and scapeshift. Is it a threat I should bring in or is it too exspensive? and should I get rid of huntmaster in these matchups?

Lastly RDW and burn. What stuff comes out?

    1. Depends on what tron version. RG is almost a buy, they have no interaction for the combo and remand is *almost* time walk against them. The U based tron (U and UW) are a bit trickier. These tend to be very grindy, and landing a goyf puts you way far ahead.

    2. against the ur delver decks I board for the long game, keep in all the removal for pyro and delver. Keranos and Batterskull tend to be excellent.

    3. In testing, he has been very good for me. I currently board him and skull in against melira pod. I don't like him against kiki pod as the games are usually pretty quick.

    4. I like thrun against ur and the mirror, but not so much against scapeshift. Usually you don't need many threats against them, and you tend to want to keep up counter magic a lot. Same applies to huntmaster.

    5. Against red decks, I board out anything that I pay life to do (probe, dismember) and Clunky counterspells (mainly cryptic, also remand based on whos on the play)

    Hope this helps!

Okay, Peek vs twisted image... I cannot figure out which one should be in that slot. I have tested both and they both have their ups and downs, but I still can't figure out which one is optimal. Any advice?

I would rather have peek. The fact that you can use it to dig is great. I want to always have a card that isnt dead. I dont think hitting birds and spellskite is relevant enough to play that card

Flameslash and dismember are your options. You may want to look into playing vedalken shackles

Came in second at a local tourney for a goyf last night. I was playing tarmo twin. The deck felt insane. I lost in the finals to all in twin because I thought he was on tempo twin and boarded into control. I ended the night with a russian cryptic. I played dickmanns last list except I played a lighthouse instead of the tec edge and I played a forked bolt in place of the flame slash in dickmanns list. For the ptq im attending this weekend I plan on playing the same list except I plan on taking baloths out of the board. They are not even that spectacular against jund, and its downright terrible against lingering souls.
