Hey everyone this is Just a nice rat tribal deck I decided to get together, since I haven't seen a rat tribal deck in a long time. I've always been a fan of Marrow and all the undervalued rats in the game,and I wanted to make the sleepers into a deck. I decided to stay away from the whole relentless rats way of things since I find it takes the fun out of it. Instead I wanted to take a path of staying tribal and utilizing the rats and the tech cards I have in here together to have good synergy and create some shenanigans. Having the rat that united the rat clans I thought why not pay homage to the first rat lord :D. I'm looking to get some feedback as well as opinions and suggestions, on anyway to improve the deck since nothing is ever perfected XD.

Salutations fellow Commander players, It's been awhile since I came up with a new commander brew, and I wanted to go on a new path and try out new mechanic this time round for myself, and I discovered Roon of the Hidden Realm. I forgot blinking for awhile and never actually thought it could be viable or even fun in this format,but after doing some digging I found out otherwise ^^. from what I got so far it actually is pretty fun, but I'm always looking for ways to improve and make the deck have more synergy. Overall Roon, and his shenanigans are quite entertaining, but I'm looking to get some feed back on the deck itself, or even suggestions on how to make even more shenanigans with Roon, and the whole blinking aspect . Remember not to blink you might miss something ^^.
Hey everyone i had a question regarding phasing and etb effects, for example if i play something like cloak of invisibility or teferi's curse on on something like bane of progress, will bane's effect activate each time it phases back in?
I had to make some changes for sure, since I just wanted to see how the deck would perform with the changes I made thus far. It performed alright but facing a mixture of both aggro, control, and combos decks in my play group at mt LGS is a mix on how to direct the build of Kangee and his flock. One major change I realized was the mana base needed to be changed as well as more 2 drops as suggested before since early game is the roughest part for my deck. Once mid to late game happens and the deck gets going it really takes off and it can defend itself really surprised me. I'm sure with a few more improvements it can be improved even more. I made a few changes which I will list, even with this new rendition I'm still hoping to get some feed back on the changes made :).
I found that the deck needed more mana ramp which I went and added in also which I was able to swap in to improve in how fast I can drop and play the cards I needed. I tried Mindcrank out since having all evasive creatures I would be able to hit no problem and have opponents mill no problem, but it proved to work but not fast as I would have liked it.
SO cutting the wraths for some more spot removal would fare better, as well as swap out some of the creatures for more utility type and some of the spells?
I ended up making a few changes due to not being able to find some of the cards and some additions as combo pieces that work well with other cards. otherwise the deck is pretty much the same. I added in Archetype of Imagination since it combos perfectly with Dovescape providing perfect advantage allowing the tokens my opponents get to lose flying and get all the disadvantages of my cards that cripple ground creatures and their bird tokens will be grounded. I added in Contagion Claspas a cheaper proliferate method if I don't have the Contagion engine. Lightning Greaveswas added in for not being able to find a card but having that protection for my creatures never hurts either. Inexorable Tidewas also an include from being suggested to help kangee gain even more counters with proliferate :D. I also ended up changing up a few of the lands for cost and tried to taylor the mana base to best I could find.
I'm still looking for ways to improve the deck even with the changes I made, so I welcome all and any suggestions or opinions on how it can be improved.
I've always wanted to build a deck around Kangee, he just seems like the type of Commander that would throw people off and I an all flyer deck is always good to. I was looking to get some feedback on how it looks thus far and how it can be improved, I have the basic foundation I believe and it seems good but any suggestions or opinions on it are always welcome.
Thank you for pointing out the teeg grid combo now it frees up two spots in the deck to move things around but the abolisher web combo seems like it works well and does what I was looking for with the other cards thank you. I think Siding Teeg would be best just in case I run into a match with a lot of x spells being cast in my face, but grid now I'm not to sure if that should be boarded as well or just scrapped completly..As for my themes what I mainly wanted to do was keep the deck a G/W stompy type of deck with a lot of versatile support such as the enchantress engine to give good utility and card draw so i could keep drawing into and dropping threat after threat of value creatures and spells. I didn't think I went so much all over the place like I did when I was building the deck but now I don't know where to begin to reconstruct it to curve it out.
I tried playing a few games and it was able to hold it's own but there wee many times where consistency lacked greatly or I didn't have access to the cards to push fr the win at that time or not the right cards to get out of scenarios. Overall it plays well but does have the tendency of bricking a lot, or not being as consistent as I'd like it to be. I was thinking maybe tossing in sensei's divining top, and a Sylvan Library could benefit greatly in remedying that issue a bit.

pretty much forces then into only 1 phase on there turn, or 1 on your turn.
Altar of the brood could make for a decent alternate win con. rancor is really good in token decks and in general
like TheDrB said teeg and defense grid do not work. aura shards for the sideboard
Manaweb i do enjoy using i have it a couple my edh decks..it really is handy :), Altar is a good suggestion, but I'm not really one for milling strategies they just don't appeal to me in this type of format. Rancor I've always liked as well provides that extra boost to my creatures, and siding Aura shards..I don't know why I never actually looked at it but thank you for the idea :).
My apologies it's no problem I'd be more than happy to be more clear on things. Simply one of the main combos was Gaddock Teeg and Defense Grid like I mentioned to lock down my opponents moves so they could only play on their turns as my main defensive play. The other aspect I was going for was a GW stompy deck centered around value creatures and enchantments. I wanted to go for playing threat after threat, keeping the pressure on while curving out very fast and maintaining a power level throughout. An example is with voice having him be a 2/2 beater, or have him make a massive amounts of tokens. With my value strategy I wanted to utilize cards like
Eidolon of Countless Battles and Boon Satyr dropping either turn 3, or bestow them and have them wreak havoc on my opponent, also pairing them with one of my enchantresses for a lot of extra card draw.
I also added some utility in form of Green sun Zenith to help me ramp or grab another creature of value such as voice, Wayfaring Temple or any other creature I needed. The card draws I have in here is to help so makes sure I draw into gas and never lose tempo, while Ajani, Caller of the Pride just helps get game through making my guys jump. I really like the idea of having enchantment cards to further increase my enchantress and provide more utility. I chose Rhys as the leader since
my creatures have raw power, he tends to just stomp his way over my opponent.
Hey everyone, back with a new creation with something I like to call not on my turn, which focuses on two main cards those being Gaddock Teeg and Defense Grid, this being one of the main focuses of the deck is a good lock out and stops a lot of combos for decks I've found, but just in case i don't have those pieces I have added in other ways to win like just playing beat after beat, threat after threat which seems to work quite well and is hard for opponents to deal with, I made this line up to play nothing but value..cards that keep giving me advantage regardless and that can play off each other in one form or another. Voice provides me with a mass amount of tokens if I make him big, the enchantresses provide some good support to move me forward as well as the enchantments that provide the extra kick to do more damage as well as allowing me to change my strategy up when I need to. I wanted to share this idea in hopes it could provide other players with ways to utilize this type of strategy and of course take suggestions on how I can make it even more competitive.
I agree it seems fun but I'm not for one for giving my opponent life since in the long run I'm really only doing 1 damage if I chose to do it to him and it would only give me 1 or 2 extra damage for extra mana that I could use for something else that's the only issue. It's a good idea but I just don't think it would fit in with this decks main strategy.
Thats an interesting concept but just for some reason red isn't a color that appeals to me in the type of strategy I'm trying to go for. I appreciate the idea for sure though :)though if you have any ideas to go along with the theme i have going i'm always open for them the only one I got was the inclusion of blue sun's zenith by removing Into the Roil, since i realized the deck lacked card draw and having a recurring one is helpful imo.
Just made a couple changes with adding in Sylvan Scrying, since i thought it would be wise to have some more ways to get land by removing Library of Lengsince my creatures are already bombs i didn't think i needed it to much. I also added in Elfhame Sanctuaryby removingSkyshroud Ridgeback since I would only get 2 turns out of it. As for Obsidian Battle-axe though it is good but it just doesn't really fit into the deck with the small amount of warriors I have and the sacrificing of my lands i'd be doing would make it a dead card. It seems to be looking quite good with a couple switch outs since my main issue was not having the mana i needed at the time with sacrificing my lands especially the forests and with those 2 land fetches I can have access to them more quickly. This still isn't the final build and I'm always open on criticism on ways to improve this
With the release of dragons it gave me access to new cards and a good secondary strategy in Assault Formation[/card, but it also gave me access to Aven Sunstriker[/card,Battle Mastery,Artful Maneuver[/card, Territorial Roc, and [card]Orator of Ojutai[/card. these are great additions imo to this avian arsenal and combined with suggested cards came up with a new build. Of course any criticism is welcome since after all I want to make this deck the best it can be :).
All of these cards are great additions to the deck, I honestly can't believe I passed over them.. I see that Leonin Sun Standard would prove a huge asset and seems like an auto include for sure.
Path of Bravery-I could really use the life gain portion and will most likely include this along side Sun Standard, Glint Hawk Idol, fits my theme really well and will be difficult to remove for sure but I'm on the fence about it tbh but i may still throw it in as a sideboard card.
The Spear is another I'm iffy about since I do have removal and enough buff abilities and only costing to i believe adding in for a 3 cmc will slow my play down on going on the offence as well as having the others only as 1 and 2 costs seem to fit more.
Emeria, the Sky Ruin-now this has a lot of utility with this deck and combos well with Soulcatcher, Soulcatchers' Aerie, providing me with a way to recycle creatures with Seaside Haven, activating Aerie giving my birds more power and providing card advantage as well or creating a big bomb in Soulcatcher itself.
I have a lot of options to consider to add in the ones that will seem to fit and which that won't, but either way these suggestions seem to have mas synergy and can't wait to try some these new additions out.

I tried playing a few games and it was able to hold it's own but there wee many times where consistency lacked greatly or I didn't have access to the cards to push fr the win at that time or not the right cards to get out of scenarios. Overall it plays well but does have the tendency of bricking a lot, or not being as consistent as I'd like it to be. I was thinking maybe tossing in sensei's divining top, and a Sylvan Library could benefit greatly in remedying that issue a bit.
Manaweb i do enjoy using i have it a couple my edh decks..it really is handy :), Altar is a good suggestion, but I'm not really one for milling strategies they just don't appeal to me in this type of format. Rancor I've always liked as well provides that extra boost to my creatures, and siding Aura shards..I don't know why I never actually looked at it but thank you for the idea :).
Eidolon of Countless Battles and Boon Satyr dropping either turn 3, or bestow them and have them wreak havoc on my opponent, also pairing them with one of my enchantresses for a lot of extra card draw.
I also added some utility in form of Green sun Zenith to help me ramp or grab another creature of value such as voice, Wayfaring Temple or any other creature I needed. The card draws I have in here is to help so makes sure I draw into gas and never lose tempo, while Ajani, Caller of the Pride just helps get game through making my guys jump. I really like the idea of having enchantment cards to further increase my enchantress and provide more utility. I chose Rhys as the leader since
my creatures have raw power, he tends to just stomp his way over my opponent.

All of these cards are great additions to the deck, I honestly can't believe I passed over them.. I see that Leonin Sun Standard would prove a huge asset and seems like an auto include for sure.
Path of Bravery-I could really use the life gain portion and will most likely include this along side Sun Standard, Glint Hawk Idol, fits my theme really well and will be difficult to remove for sure but I'm on the fence about it tbh but i may still throw it in as a sideboard card.
The Spear is another I'm iffy about since I do have removal and enough buff abilities and only costing to i believe adding in for a 3 cmc will slow my play down on going on the offence as well as having the others only as 1 and 2 costs seem to fit more.
Emeria, the Sky Ruin-now this has a lot of utility with this deck and combos well with Soulcatcher, Soulcatchers' Aerie, providing me with a way to recycle creatures with Seaside Haven, activating Aerie giving my birds more power and providing card advantage as well or creating a big bomb in Soulcatcher itself.
I have a lot of options to consider to add in the ones that will seem to fit and which that won't, but either way these suggestions seem to have mas synergy and can't wait to try some these new additions out.
