I've had notions about this on several of the boxes, but I seriously appreciate that actual work that went into displaying this! Thank you so much!
I would also love to see something like this once or twice a year.

Sep 20, 2017chaos021 posted a message on Changes to MTGSalvation User AccountsI disagree with the whole security issue. As has been pointed out, it just makes Twitch a bigger target.Posted in: Articles
Also, what about the functionality of MTG Salvation? Is it being worked on? Does the user account change help? -
Sep 12, 2017chaos021 posted a message on Changes to MTGSalvation User AccountsEven the replies from the MTG admins seems to not answer questions directly. Basically, all I'm reading is "it will be easier for them to maintain the system." "Easier to maintain" does not mean "more secure." It just means it's less likely someone in-house screws something up or overlooks something.Posted in: Articles
Here's what I want to know: If this merger happens and people stick around, is the functionality of MTG Salvation going to return? Right now, there are still piles of problems that have been noted and still not fixed. If not, what's the point of the merger from a user standpoint? -

Also, there are opposing decks where getting to the late game isn't a lock. For instance, late game against Tron and Grixis variants aren't always a lock. I personally find that I don't love Jund either.
I don't hate Sphinx's Revelation, but it has a fairly heavy cost. It does tend to be good even if you cast it for x = 2 though. I've personally gone back and forth on running one copy in my main deck. I wouldn't run more than one though. Seeing two in your opening hand would really suck and I don't know why you would want more than one anyway with all the recursion and card draw.
As an aside, I've liked Evolutionary Leap as a one-of, but I think it would probably be better if I had one more.
How many creatures/planeswalkers do you run?
You can play a more controlling variant, but I think it loses some of its luster. I love Jacob Wilson's version of this deck. It applies a lot of pressure and doesn't really stop. I've cut mana dorks in my version, but it has pretty good game against everything I've been able to test against.
Your version seems fairly solid, but I like having Lingering Souls main. Flyers are an issue for a lot of decks. Other than that, the rest feels like a metagame call. For instance, I don't play Scavenging Ooze in my main deck because I've rarely needed or wanted it in the testing I've done so far. I also don't like Fulminator Mage in the sideboard. BB is not what I want to see in my casting cost, and I want to be smashing their face (not slowing them down for a longer game).
I think it just doesn't get played all that often. Everyone I know that's play an Abzan/Junk deck always goes with those more controlling lists that they see online. I actually think those lists are fine, but Siege Rhino doesn't fit in that deck (everyone also thinks I'm bad/crazy when I say that too). In Wilted Liege/Abzan, Siege Rhino is the perfect curve-topper and he's (or she) is a house.
I have a strong feeling that you're playing UWr midrange and not control based on your comments.
Against what? I usually don't need to have Lightning Helix mana up on turn 2 unless I'm playing against Zoo or Burn.
I love it, but that UU in the casting cost isn't free.
I don't completely share this assessment. I've found it to be alright as a switch-up out of the sideboard against some control decks but it works so much better in the midrange version of UW/X. I do find it's uses to be fairly narrow in the control shell. I also think my match-up with Burn is already pretty good as-is. I would basically have to get flooded with lands or get land screwed to lose, or maybe I'm lucky?
Your deck seems much slower than common versions of the deck and feels like it's trying to go over the top. I think that if you're going to be slower, you have to cut some cards for some number of Thoughtseize in the main deck. I also think Courser of Kruphix just feels bad. Courser is trying to gain card advantage over a longer game, but I don't see where the payoff is. Your top end is Primeval Titan and Batterskull. Primeval Titan can get your Gavony Township and Vault of the Archangels, but that's still a "down-the-road" proposition. Batterskull is solid, but if you don't slam that turn 3 against a lot of decks, you're probably already winning or dead. Basically, you might surprise/confuse someone in game 1 of a match, but I don't see how this beats the proven or established decks beyond R/X aggro, and I still think R/X aggro has a chance to slide under your ability to go over-the-top in games 2 and 3. There are other issues I see, but until you figure out whether you want tempo, control or disruption, the other problems don't matter.
I play one main deck. It's really solid.
