Hey so I was very intrigued by the deck so I decided to reach out to the man who played it at the pro tour and I asked him on twitter if he would change anything, this was his response:
Thoughts going forward? I think the deck gets even BETTER after rotation, even though no Kalitas a lot of the red decks lose umph.
Most recent build had Hangarback in the main. Very useful - plus even better when I brought an extra copy of it and trinket mages in the board against shadow.
Anyone been taking this to local events lately? Not as much buzz now which is surprising. Thought a weird part of me secretly likes it not getting too much attention.
Saw you talk about the deck quick in the Grand Architect thread, since painter in legacy got screwed by proxy of the top ban, we must find a home for the servant~ Loving the idea.
There are certain matchups that you just want hard-counters. I'd imagine they'd always come in versus living end, ad naus and other unfair decks where you REALLY have to nab a certain spell or it's curtains. Yes the taxing effects in the deck itself help against that stuff but sometimes I'd imagine (and in my experience) you just want that 2 mana counter as well. Interested to hear what you do think about them Zac.
I've thought a lot about revoker versus needle too, and the benefits of being able to crew random vehicles and also convoking for other creatures comes into play. Not sure if it's worth it though.
Looks pretty stock, only thing of interest is TWO throne of the god pharoahs like some of the earlier builds and the 2/2 split between signal pest and judges familiar... which thinking of it.. I kinda really like.
Zac, if you for some reason check this thread overnight.. good luck tomorrow! :-]
Obviously this deck can't hit every corner case, but in a modo league I went against bogles twice. I think this is genuinely a fairly unwinnable matchup considering the way and style they usually win but is it one of those cases were you simply can't have a sideboard against every matchup and just have to accept some bad ones?
I'm not completely sure playing the 'protect your creatures' game might be the best versus marvel. I agree with what you are bringing it, but by cutting invigorated rampages you are kinda just giving them an extra turn or two
On the play I think you keep your combo in, but on the draw perhaps bring in the heroic interventions.
I might keep more of the combo pieces in and cut the Arlinn more often, not sure what kind decks your local shop will have though.
This seems ok?
Edit: beat me to it haha
YES YES YES!!
A shell she will work in.

I assume being able to use EE the same turn you play it let alone tutor for it makes it much nicer, perhaps ratchet bomb is completely subpar.
40+ tickets on modo eeeek, well at least the deck is generally cheap.
