    I think its better with 21 lands to make t2 Chalice more reliable
    Necrotic is kinda weak at 20 lands with no mana slivers
    First Dregscale should be good, 4th - weak
    Horizon lands I think are not that great, we have a lot of mana sinks

    I think deck's concept is weak right now. All these decks that WANT to have some cards in the graveyard.. Usual card advantage game doesnt apply to them, so 8Rack is not functional against them.

    How is Skred going nowadays? With 4x Relics main it can be good at hosing these graveyard strategies going rampant. Last time Skred made a splash in a similar situation - it wasnt played much and Dredge was played much, so Skred came out winning those unprepared people and grave decks.

    No one plays 16 lands in Modern for a reason
    And this deck is no exception, yes it wants to play 1 drops, but its power comes from 2 drops, which is a problem at 16 lands (2 cmc mana dork is not a solution)

    I dont see Veil of Summer as great card in theory. Whats its ceiling? You 2-for-1 them, saving one of your janky creatures. Im not sure such card advantage is even good vs decks that want to grind, grinding is their game, they will outplay you if you give them time. Not to mention you have hexproof, pumps, undying and regeneration, so another hexproof can be superfluous. Its floor being a blank card you cant use, because blue and black decks dont pack much removal and counterspells these days. Overall I think thats a weak sideboard card. If I want to grind Id be happier with Kitchen Finks, aside from 2-1 it can deal damage and kill planeswalkers, more synergic with our pumps and gains life. Also not only applicable vs blue and black.

    Apart from U/W, you barely see any midrange/control decks around.
    Shutting off Altar of dementia, Griselbrand, inkmoth nexus, Pendelhaven, giver of runes, Celestial Colonnade, walkers doesnt sound great to me. Hogaak can win without altar, Griselbrand can still fly for 7 lifelink
    inkmoth nexus, Pendelhaven from infect? Nexus is only one third of their threats (or less if you count Hierarch), Pendelhaven has small effect
    disabling one walker after he used his ability doesnt look gread. If you cast Needle in advance its hard to name a proper walker since they usually dont run sets of four. Celestial Colonnade is very expensive, if you didnt win before or coudlnt counter it with pumps seems like you lost anyway.
    though it looks ok vs Affinity, they have a lot of good targets so Needle is not likely to be wasted

    Damping Sphere. Tron, Phoenix are still top decks, Storm, Amulet Titan are still good. I dont see a reason to remove great sideboard card for our tough matchups.

    Nissa, Voice of Zendikar. I like Finks, they are great for aggro and grinding.

    What do you guys think about the new one drop hexdrinker that was added lately?
    Do you think its good enough in our deck?
    I think Pelt Collector is better as a pretty reliable 3/3. Hexdrinker can be better than Dryad, it depends on your meta and number of mana sinks in your list (less mana sinks > Hexdrinker more valuable).

    Thats a slow pet deck that tries to exchange cards with opponent and take lategame with overwhelming card advantage via grave use
    My start was fast, their removal couldnt hold my onslaugh both games

    Revolt Zoo 2-0
    That was an explosive deck with Simian Spirit Guide, Burning-Tree Emissary, Hidden Herbalists Atarka's Command and Reckless Bushwhacker. In ideal world it does 14 damage on its first turn!
    I knew this deck was really explosive so I tried to hold its onslaught first. He didnt get one of his insane starts and I won because if you stabilize then it usually over as your creatures are more powerful than his bears

    Martyr Proc 2-0
    Fast starts didnt let him get 6/6 lifelinks, he did a lot of champ blocks though he couldnt effectively block trample, I knew wrathes were coming so I didnt hesitate to exchange some of my one-drops with his 1/1s, he landed one wrath and it was good but I answered with Steel Leaf Champion with Rancor and he couldnt respond in time

    But your stress on Humans makes me want to say: Slivers are not Humans
    Same cards work a bit different, Ancient Ziggurat doesnt count for Sliver's Hive, we dont have etb effects (mostly), less things can be done with Vial narrowing to +1/+1 and first strike (because of that I always thought 3 and 0 are better Vial numbers than 4)
    Both tribes have weak and strong sides, we should build accordingly and not try to replicate
    Im not a fan of playing 18 lands in Slivers. Humans have 1cmc mana dork, Slivers dont. Mana flood hurts Humans, Slivers have Sliver's Hive
    At 18 lands if you dont have Vial in opening hand there is a good chance you will lose in tempo horribly playing 0-1 creatures a turn
    Slivers lack Humans' disruption so imho we should play more aggressively (with Diffusion and Manaweft being not so great)
    Im not saying you have some clear mistakes or there are some rules in building Slivers (unlike you who says there are 52 locked slots))) but you are too much on 'if pros build Humans like this, it should be good in Slivers'
    And a bit too high on Slivers with statements like "Diffusion Sliver is actually better than Kitesail Freebooter". Freebooter can discard Karn or Ugin, 2 for 1 a removal, evasive threat that can fly above 5/5 Angler or Tarmo to kill a walker.
    I want to mention Slivers (and fast Slivers in particular) are most afraid of Wrath effects and 8 Diffusions dont help here
    Im long player of Leeching Sliver. While its cool, it deals damage before opponent can block, opponent can misplay against it, I always treated Adaptive Automaton as a better creature which we should play full playset before adding Leeching Sliver. Maybe with 8 flying slivers its drawbacks (no additional toughness) are less important, while drawbacks of Adaptive Automaton stay the same: 3cmc, not a sliver on the stack, artifact.

    Id cut second Swamp? Usual way is to stay at 2 basics because mana requirements are very high. Second Overgrown Tomb is also superfluous. Id go with anything but Island as second basic, Forest gives access to 12 cards, 4 of them manafix slivers, Mountain or Plains help cast Cloudshredder in usual situation when you have only one source of any mana. While Red and White are also in high demand. I didnt play with spiteful sliver but it seems bad to me. We need to be fast, he is 3 mana 2/2, there are many removals that dont deal damage - Path, Push, DIsmember, Wrath, Tap, Bounce. I dont like shadow sliver too, with 8 flying slivers we got a lot of evasion, he wasnt played before, he is worse now. Second Syphon is also kinda meh. So Id add two shocks and a Mountain/Plains instead of Swamp, Island and Overgrown Tomb. And replace Syphon, Shadow, Spiteful Sliver with something from Striking Sliver, Unsettled Mariner, Dregscape Sliver

    It depends what the others around the table are playing. Playing a deck made of only commons and uncommons from Modern Horizon is a bit far stretched, IMHO. Chances are your friends are playing something a bit more fine tuned... but if you can pull it together, and have fun, go for it! Smile

    They all play pretty much jank peasant decks either 1v1 or multiplayer as none of us are rich enough to buy crazy cards so it pretty much balances that everyone is playing commons and uncommons with a smattering of super cheap $1 rares. All about fun and not finely tuned decks I think anyone who brought something that won in 3-4 turns would have that deck banned =P
    I think there is no point restricting yourself of Predatory Sliver, Striking Sliver, Blur Sliver etc.

    This looks like a deck I'd like to put together and give a shot, which is why I'm asking about the sideboard. I'd need to pick up the slivers and hives, but I already have the rest of the landbase and the vials.
    Slivers and things that can be played with colorless mana: Chalice of the Void, Damping Sphere, Relic of Progenitus, Grafdigger's Cage (doesnt work with Company), Dismember, Gutshot, Ravenous Trap etc.

    Ghostflame Sliver imo is not strong enough as sideboard option even vs Tron

    Correct me if Im wrong
    It does almost nothing against Scapeshift since then float mana, Scapeshift, then use mana off every untapped land to pay for triggers
    Storm just does its thing, storm 20, get a lot of mana, dig for bounce, then bounce and grapeshot you. All they need to do is pay 1 more when they already comboed off
    Lightning Storm costs only 1 more, not a big problem
    Searing Blaze, Kolaghans Command, collective brutality etc yes they need to pay extra 1 for each target
