It's pretty shocking to see a reasonable guy deciding not to pass hundreds of dollars getting treated worse than honest to god cheaters. It's pathetic to see how many pros are completely petulant manchildren. It's nice to see a few people acting sane, like PV and BBD at least.
I just 4-0ed the 3 AM EST daily playing Ichikawa's exact 75. Beating ... someone who timed out on the first mull (So more of a 3-0 ), Junk, Burn and Scapeshift. This is easily the most fun deck I've played in modern, super interactive and a reasonable shot to win any matchup.
I beat Junk 3 (!) times, and lost to Living End. I could get used to that kind of meta .
Ugin performed about how I expected him to. He's an extremely powerful card but 8 mana is a super clunky cost for the deck, and cutting even a single Relic to find room was pretty agonizing for me. The matchups being what they were, the only cards I pulled out of the sideboard were the Nature's Claim, pulling out Pyroclasm in every match.
Lost to UWR draw-go round 1, beat storm round 2. I lost to Affinity round 3, and then beat UWR Midrange and RWB burn to make top 8, in 7th place.
Beat the same Affinity player I lost to in the swiss in the first round of finals, and then got absolutely bodied by Infect the round after.
I won 2 Snapcaster Mage for finishing in 3rd/4th so I'll probably mess around with them in the SB or even MD next time.
Got totally bodied at a local 14 player event, lost to Affinity, beat Scapeshift, lost to Storm, lost to Affinity. I got to kill Scapeshift with its own combo though, so I'm considering it a moral victory.
Round 1 was Storm, won off the back of t4 Sundering Titan g1, and and t1 Relic and a bunch of counters got me there g2.
2-0
Round 2 I got absolutely battered by Zoo, g1 I rolled over and died without doing anything besides Repealing one kitty and Remanding something or other. g2 I managed to use a Solemn and Oblivion Stone to clear the board, and promptly died to bolt, Molten Rain.
0-2, total 1-1.
Round 3 was storm again. g1 he just did his thing, and grapeshotted me for a million on t4. g2 I managed to counter a bunch of stuff, and ripped nothing but Islands after he powered out a t2 Blood Moon. Eventually he had to go for a storm count 5 Empty the Warrens, but I cast a Wurmcoil off a bunch of basics, and then overloaded Cyclonic Rift the turn after and Wurmcoil got there. g3 He went for it on turn three, but only managed to grapeshot me for 12. He stuck an empty for 6 tokens a couple of turns after that, but I overloaded Cyclonic Rift again, and eventually got there with Treasure Mage and Wurmcoil.
2-1, total 2-1
Round 4 was BW tokens. G1 I got my hand shredded by t1 Thoughtseize, t2 Thoughtseize and Inquisition of Kozilek. I managed to limp along against Brimaz, King of Oreskos followed up by Intangible Virtue and pop an O. Stone, only to have him resolve another Brimaz. I Condescended my own Map twice, and then Remanded it digging for an answer but couldn't get there. g2 he got stuck on two lands (Isolated Chapel and Vault of the Archangel), I countered a few things and got the slaver lock. g3 I had to Academy Ruins back a Sundering Titan he made me pitch earlier. it got Pathed instantly, but blowing up four of his lands bought me enough time to eventually overload Rift and hit slaver lock with a whole 2 life left.
Overall I was happy with my performance given it's the first time I played Magic in 4 months, and I was really happy with the current list. I'm interested in trying out the Fabricate package, but the thought of losing the Gray Ogre stapled to our tutors seems like it would make our already bad matchups against aggro even worse.

Great store, you guys are the only place I buy MTGO singles, and I love being able to turn my draft/prerelease physical cards into MTGO stuff.
