Regeneration is actually one of the most mis-played abilities in magic. Lots of new players THINK they know how it works, but very few actually do. The reminder text is a VERY good thing.
Firehawk, I don't think we're going to get confirmation on what "guild mana" looks like on a card until someone sees a printed card. Any information coming out at this stage is going to be in text form - on spoiler sheets, emails, passed on in chats, etc. The physical cards are probably being printed right now, so in the next little while we might be able to find out what "guild mana" looks like - the jury is still out on that. When you said "none of the truly confirmed cards have the split mana cost" I thought you were saying that we don't have any cards with guild mana yet, when we actually have 4 (the guildmages).
Isn't it REALLY early to confirm cards we don't have text or names for? Not being a jerk, but the cards here are specific. Those guildmages are just a concept w/ no specifics at this point to us reading the forums.
I think that's COP: White and Blue art that ended up being unused.
Spam Warning.
COP White and COP Blue were not printed.
WoTC didn't commishion art for cards that were not printed in 9th.
These are all arts of cards that ARE IN THE SET.
Next up is a batch of art notable not just for the cards included, but also for a few that are "missing."
That's a direct quote from wizard's website. I got the impression they wre being tricky with this batch. The ones you listed as COP Red/Back looked more like Blue/White to me. That's why I posted. I know they're not in the set.
I'm sad that affinity wasn't banned in online extended
I don't want to join the crowd
It's a lame duck format right now. Wait until the fall. They'll put off any decisions until then. I don't think the artifact lands will survive the rotation due to pithing needle being printed.
Intentionally lame rares are a recent thing. And it hasn't worked well. Sales are down on Base Sets. When I started playing, everyone bought revised/4th. Now no one does. They need a wider, better range of cards in the set.
I agree with Shadowlord, minus the exaggeration. ALMOST every card in this block is a reprint, near reprint, or "on a stick" variation of an older card. Take 10 random cards, and I'll tell you what card 9 of them are near identical to. It's remarkable. No block has ever been as much like this as Kamigawa is.
Block Constructed is SO fun though. Except for the shuffling.

Why that, of all things, isn't a beast is beyond me.

It hasn't been played in constructed formats in years. I doubt price is a concern on WOTC's end.
Can someone mock up a picture of the card?
Flavor, and because these cards all had the old-school cardface.
