Feb 3, 2014the nobodys posted a message on Launch Giveaway! My favorite card of all time: Vesuvan Doppleganger. When I laid eyes on it as a 13 year old, MtG became the game that I played. Beautiful art, great power at the time, fun to play, and one of the first desirable rares I ever opened out of a pack.Posted in: Announcements

And it's Scry 1, then draw a card. Compare with underworld connections - draw 1, lose 1 life.
I really believe this is going to see constructed play, but probably only in BUG or UG, where Kiora's follower exists.
The cards I'm most excited about adding to the deck are Herald of Torment and Bile Blight. Satyr Wayfinder will probably take the spot of a few Sylvan Caryatids, IMO.
1. They take Banisher Priest, giving you the Chimera, and they can exile the Chimera now that you control it again. This isn't a good swap for them, and any removal, like bounce or supreme verdict, means the Chimera is returned to owner's control because of the wording on Banisher Priest.
2. They choose not to take Banisher Priest, and you exile Chimera, meaning they won't be able to take advantage of it, and the Chimera will return to your control once BP is removed from play.
Since opponent would never choose option 2, you're almost always just turning their Chimera into a vanilla 2/2 that gives you the Chimera back when it leaves play.
Maybe something like:
4 Satyr Firedancer
4 Izzet Staticaster
1 Spellheart Chimera
2 Chandra's Phoenix
2 Stormbreath Dragon
4 Gorgon's Head
Instants: 20
4 Searing Blood
4 Lightning Strike
4 Magma Jet
4 Turn/Burn
4 Steam Augury
I ask because if the opponent's creature is shuffled in but the elemental goes to hand, I see a UW defensive shell using these two with Ephara, God of the Polis.
Untap Siren during your opponent's draw phase when they are drawing with an empty hand. Anything that's not an instant is going in the graveyard.
I mean, that's practically just Kiora's Follower + Siren of Silent Song if they have no fliers on board. Or Kiora's Follower + Siren, with either Springleaf Drum or Phenax if they do have a flier ready to block. I mean, it's not game over, but it's pretty close if the board states are similar.
Kiora's Follower
Underworld Connections
Desecration Demon
Phenax?
Those cards on the board turn on Phenax, and look, all on curve! Then throw in whatever you want. Sylvan Caryatid, Ashiok, Thoughtseize, Abrupt Decay, Gray Merchant, etc.
BUG is going to have some great interactions/ways of generating card advantage and killing your opponent.
Brimaz x3
Daxos x3
Thassa x2
Heliod x1
Ephara x2
Lavinia x2
3 Ghost Quarter
4 Godless Shrine
4 Marsh Flats
3 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
2 Flagstones of Trokair
3 Isolated Chapel
4 Swamp
ARTIFACT/ENCHANTMENT 13:
4 The Rack
3 Shrieking Affliction
2 Pithing Needle
3 Ensnaring Bridge
1 Necrogen Mists
4 Liliana of the Veil
SPELLS 19:
4 Thoughtseize
4 Raven's Crime
2 Inquisition of Kozilek
2 Castigate
3 Path to Exile
4 Smallpox
4 Porphyry Nodes
3 Disenchant
1 Pithing Needle
3 Stony Silence
4 Leyline of the Void
I like main-decking Pithing Needle, as it plays well against what I think are bad match-ups like Tron, and you can usually play it to good effect against an unknown opponent after looking at their hands to begin the game. Also, I'm trying a few Castigates for the exile. SB is getting shuffled around a bit, but I'd like to try Porphry Nodes against aggressive decks that put a lot of threats on the board quickly, especially Affinity. Turn one discard, turn two Nodes and Discard seems like a good play. The idea is to buy you time until an ensnaring bridge can come down. Stony Silence against Pod, Affintiy, and Tron. (Which are the most played decks in my local meta).
