Hi! i have a question about these 2 cards, phyrexian infiltrator and birthing pod!
main phase, i activate birthing pod on phyrexian infiltrator, in response i activate the infiltrator's ability. What does it happen? Can i change the opponent's creature with ability stack, and then sacrifice phyrexian infiltrator, or have i to sacrifice it and it happens nothing?
thank you for whoever answer this Smile

Funny is there were many threads like mine pushing on BUG midrange/control and none cared, and now that it won a tournament every body will try it out Wink

So, What do you think wizard is gonna do next announcement?
Ban something from junk? From twin? From amulet? From each?
    No changes?
    Unban something? Ban and unban?
Will wizard listen to theirs players? Or will them keep the ban hammer?
Im in doubt about 2 things:
Wizard keeps its banhammer, which will IMO ruin the format, personally i'd quit it until better times.
Wizard get aknowledge that banning like that is going to ruin the format and will unban something, maybe with some bans.

For once id like only unbans, maybe 2-3 cards, supported with some good hate cards for some archetypes (but that's too late cause dragons of tarkir is already printed)

But my fear is that for this time wizard will keep banning things maiking modern a degenerated format.

If they keep their banhammer methods for the next banlist, ill quit modern too. Ill wait for a better time in the future

anyway 600 ppl seems low attendance in any case

Well we're up to 650! Still 1150 more seats to fill...

Sadly, I will be surprised if Vancouver breaks 1000. Memphis being the same weekend is going to hurt both events. It will be interesting to see where the pros end up playing though.

although Memphis will steal a lot of people from Vancouver, if it doesn't reach 1000+ people it means that the modern players are bored with the format, so maybe wizard is gonna do something. But we don't have enough data, like ktkenshinx said, to prove that. Anyway in a city like Vancouver i find it surprising that a gp can't reach 1000+ persons, with a standard event in the same week too.
As Bocephus said it would be nice to see where the pros are going

You cant test cards like that on mtg online. The metà was different from the paper One many times in the past. The only solution is that wizard should have a team to test those cards for months, but i dont see that happen (although it would take much less time than testing new expansions). So we will stick with wizard unbanning some cards they think are safe for their reasons (most of Times: we unban this card because atm it's obsolete on the ban list, like nacatl or bitterblossom).
For this reason they will ever unban jace. Wink or see thing song, theyre so freaking afraid of storm being tier 1 lol, i didnt play with being legal so i cant speak about it, but every time i meet storm with my bug (ok is bg rock with a spash of blue) i allways won so easy XD

I think the only cards they will think about an unban are BBE and Sotm, and i have my doubts they will do something this march. Maybe next year. What im afraid of, is that wizard, this march, will ban rhino. Would be hilarious and personally i wont risk to play the format anymore, not cause i dont like it, but because it would be too unstable, i can support a once per year ban/unban to shake things up, but 2/3 years each time would be too much for me.

Also, although i like every deck in modern to play against (not joking, and i play modern since 2 years, before only legacy), atm i dont have a deck i love to play with, they got all hit XD

Ye im for a more powerfull format too, but that would turn modern in the only combo format. Im in also for more unbans at the same time, instrad of bans, but well pondered and with some kind of hate before the unban announcement. For istance, although not really hate, rhino is a card that could led at a bbe unban IMHO. After these months i think rhino over all is a better card, its body is pure value and lingering soul makes jund' match up better for junk.

IMHO jace in the actual state of modern would be a safe unban too, and would be also hated out from the bbe unban. But they should reprint IT in mass cause of its already over the top price, something im not gonna bet on.

Other safes unbans are sword of the meek (something that might make a new esper control better). Anyway i think the card would just see marginal play, like bitterblossom.

AV, in my opinion is a card safe, but only if it goes inside control decks, helping them and not decks like twin and scapeshift, probably is just too slow for modern.

Sensei divining top also would Nice for control decks, but i think as it is is not safe, cause almost every combo/midrange/control decks could play it. Would be Nice a print of something similar, like a blue/x enchantment that restrict the decks in which would slot into. There is a similar enchantment in blue in older card pool, i dont remember the name.

Ponder: i think cantrips are we'll balanced in modern, i dont see the necessity to unban it or preordain. We already have a format where those cards are a must.

Punishing fire: as much as i miss the card from my old legacy jund, it would kill non zoo aggro on spot, and we already know where zoo is atm.

Artifact lands: as far as i like em, affinity is tier 1 still, so IT doesnt need help.

Birthing pod: if they Made it only without the phyrexian mana, maybe at the moment i'd still play my favorite deck Frown anyway, i still think it could be a fine unban (obviously will never be unbanned, and not in the near future), with the right hate printed. The format could be safe regulating with policy cards, and we all know how bad is the pod match up against tron and scapeshift. With 2/3 cards in the tron/scapeshift hands, pod would be fine. Anyway, IT wont happen so ill go and cry in an angle with my little naya pod list 😂

I will not mention other cards, at the moment are totally not worth a mention and better they stay banned. With future shake ups we can talk about them too Wink

Id take that, less green Sun zenit and jitte! Bocephus, IT was a forum poll, not a "only sad people after the ban can vote " poll, and 80% ( i think to remember or more) wanted the format more powerful
