It kills everything in the mirror other than big Death Shadow's, kills Smasher and TKS, but the most important thing is it kills Mirran Crusader and Chamelleon Collosus.
Being 2cmc is also a big deal as Tron putting Chalice on 1 is annoying; so having Roast gives us time to kill things before we can find a K-Command.
Probably only going to try 1, but it seems good in theory.
I don't really like the list though as he doesn't run Evolution and Meddling Mage seems worse and harder to cast than Gaddock Teeg. Spreading Sea's seems a little weird and the manabase seems weird as well.
Eternal Witness and Reflector Mage were two of my best cards at SCG Baltimore, so I'm surprised you didn't run either.
Witness gets back Path to Exile which is huge against Eldrazi Tron, Death Shadow, and any midrange matchup. Reflector Mage also won me games against Death Shadow and normal Jund by just blinking it over and over again.
R1: 2-1 vs Jund
Voice and Reflector Mage were all-stars. Blinking Mage won me games by itself
R2: 2-1 vs Burn
G1 I combo out on T3 with Lotus Cobra. Game 2 he had a few Paths. Game 3 I kept blinking E-Witness buying back Negate to win.
R3: 0-2 vs Dredge
Drew bad in G1, Game 2 I landed Blood Moon but he Conflagrated by Mana Dorks and I kinda got locked worse than him
R4: 2-0 vs Faeries
Mainboard Mana Leaks were great, Gaddock Teeg was MVP shutting down Damnation and Cryptic Command
R5: 2-0 vs Death Shadow Jund
Reflector Mage again was amazing, and Restoration Angel led to some blowouts blinking Mage
R6: 0-2 vs 4c Death Shadow
Mull to 5 and lost G1. Game 2 he has 3 discard spells in the first 2 turns and lands a big threat and I don't draw anything
R7: 1-1-1 Draw vs Eldrazi Tron
Pithing Needle and Walking Ballista are annoying to deal with, I might want a 2nd Rec Sage in the side instead of Kataki just for this reason. Reflector Mage again was amazing here, as well as E-Witness buying back Path. Gaddock Teeg was amazing to shut down All is Dust
R8: 1-2 vs Eldrazi Tron
Game's 1 and 3 he natural trons me turn 3 so I kinda just lose. Again, Ballista and Pithing Needle are hard to beat.
I didn't love Blood Moon with Path to Exile, a little awkward. I might put a Magus of the Moon in the SB instead. The mana leaks were nice, but I don't think necessary in Game 1, but then again I didn't really play any combo decks where they are good against. Chameleon Colossus was good in neither vs DSJ, but Goyf was still a problem there.
The Gaddock Teeg in the mainboard was great, stopped some important cards like Conflagrate and helped open up a SB slot. Lotus Cobra was a removal magnet so not sure how good it is, but the fact that it died a guess saved my other creatures.
I'd probably cut the Tireless Tracker for a third Mage, get rid of the Blood Moons, then change my manabase a little(less fetches since no moons) and add 1-2 Ghost Quarter. A 4th Path or another answer in the SB for Walking Ballista would also help. Would love to play Rallier but I can't see cutting Witness as getting back Path is huge.
Was thinking of a Fire-lit Thicket in the main so I could side a Kiki-Jiki. Gives me an alternate win con against Walking Ballista and Pithing Needle. Already have Resto in the mainboard so gives me more options to play around hate.
I played 4C Saheeli at SCG Baltimore, was 4-1 at one point before playing a few bad matchups in a row. Will post my decklist and tournament summary a little later.
@nal2: Would love to know your over/under performers. Also, did you play any Eldrazi Tron? I played that a few times and Walking Ballista/Pithing Needle is very annoying.
1. Hurkyls recall vs darkness/ethr al haze. Both good against affinity, but which is better. Recall hits inkmoth at instant speed. Fog is better against otherror aggro decks.
2. I have seen some articles where people will turn one spoils for a lotus bloom against faster decks like storm. Is this worth the risk vs playing a can't rip.
3. 1 x lab maniac/lightning storm main board vs 2 lighting storm. I usually go two lightning storm, but with vizier combo gaining infinite life I'm not sure. 1 of each is also better vs surgical. Lightning storm can also be cast from hand to kill shadow decks.
4. Main board leylines. Seems good against a lot of top tier decks. Storm, abzan, shadow, burn, exc. I think it's going to be useful game 1 more than it will hurt our favorable matchups like tron. Anyone have a list? what to cut from mainboard?
They both seem really good vs Death Shadow, and copying one with Saheeli is a lot of damage. With how popular DSJ is I feel one of them deserves a SB slot.
Personally I would never cut Sun Titan from my main board. Being able to sacrifice a Felidar Guardian and find a big threat that also brings back Saheeli Rai (and makes a new titan that brings back 2 more stuff) is a big deal. It also allows you to play your Saheelis more loosely, making your opponent spend attacks on it and then later you combo them off with Sun Titan and 2x Saheelis.
Thoughts on Sun Titan? I really like the card and it has tons of value, but in Game 1 I want to be trying to combo and the card seems clunky at 6 mana. Modern is such a fast format it just seems too slow.
Maybe throw it in the SB for the grindy matchups?
Makes sense, but why do you only play 3 Guardian then?
Also, why is Autumn's manabase greedy? Is it because no Island and playing Blood Moon? I would never want to draw a basic Island when playing this deck, it's just bad with Voice and you're a base G/W deck.
I guess the matchups where you want Moon you also want counterspells most likely, but I would also hate drawing Island and Gavony in my opener when I have Voice.
I play 1 Quarter/ 1 Gavony, maybe I should cut the Quarter for 1 Island? I just love having 1 Quarter in the main to try to steal games vs big mana decks game 1.

Just started playing the deck and had a few questions.
1. How is the Burn matchup? Seems like we can never combo if they hold up mana. Do we need to run Finks or Baloth in the main or are they more SB?
2. Dredge, it seems Wall blocks a lot and Staticaster is very good. What hate do we need in the SB? RIP? Surgical? Loaming Shaman? or Nothing?
3. 3 or 4 Felidar Guardian. Seems you'd want 4 to combo as fast as possible, but I've seen lists with 3.
4. Devoted Druid Combo deck is very popular, do we run Grafdigger's even though it shuts off Evolution just because it's so good in the matchup, or is Linvala and say Phyrexian Revoker good enough?
5. How do we beat Elves/Merfolk/Wide Strategies? I haven't seen any lists running Engineered Explosives and I'm not sure why. Maybe Kozilek's Return?
any thoughts on removing two pact of negation from the mainboard and replacing them with censor. Its a counterspell at times, but can also be cycled to dig deeper if need be. works with laboratory maniac as well.

He also played the open and went 2-3 drop.

I'm not sure what the consensus is, but I could never see playing more than 6.

True that Teeg/Linvala is great vs Elves, but Merfolk we don't have much.
I guess we don't need an EE or sweeper, just combo vs them?
And I assume you meant Cataclysmic Gearhulk

What decisions are odd to you? And why don't you like Resto?
It just gives more ways to value blink Mage, E-Witness, etc. Seems to fit the deck find even without Kiki-Jiki.
