MM17 is off the rails. Key Modern prices should plummet after the set hits shelves, opening up the format to new players who couldn't afford certain decks. A side effect will be spikes in non-reprinted cards, especially those in decks that reprints help. For instance, Cavern of Souls makes Merfolk much more affordable, but no Vial reprint (yet?) means the Vials themselves will jump. Look out for these opportunities and risks.
Doesn't the number crunch eliminate Aether Vial? It lists Basilisk Collar as the first artifact.
Vial spike in 3... 2... 1....
Assuming there is 29 of each color. If they shave a multi-color card there could be room for Vial. I doubt it's very likely but not impossible.
Anyone doing the Mythic crunch? On mono-colors, we are still missing the two Green mythics (Goyf? and another), a red one (...no idea) and a Black mythic (Liliana of the Veil, 90% certain).
I also believe each limited color pair will be getting a mythic:
UW: Sphinx's Rev (confirmed)
R/G: Domri Rade (could also be something else as this took up the 2 planeswalker spots)
U/B:
R/B:
G/W: Voice ?
I'll be buying into Burn probably to make a second tournament competitive deck to second my Ad Nauseam deck. However, I'm wondering when I should buy the whole 75. When would you guys go or it : now, 1-2-3 weeks after MM2017? Just want to see how you'd see the market coming along the new set.
Thanks!
buy Eidolon of the Great Revel yesterday, the price has already gone up and will only continue too
Everything else, wait for 1 month after MM2017 comes out for prices to be lowest
Jace is banned because of price IMO. If he gets unbanned he's probably jump up to $150 and I doubt WoTC wants that sort of thing going on in Modern where card scarcity is already a problem.
I think that WoTC doesn't change the amount of produce released even if there is a Modern Masters GP; this means that the product that goes to the GP gets subtracted from what the print and that gets shipped out to suppliers.
By not having a GP, it gives a lot more product to send out to suppliers.

Aether Vial, Ensnaring Bridge, and Mishra's Bauble have all been ruled out
I would expect either Crucible,, Chromatic Lantern, or Chromatic Star as the last artifact
Crucible of the Worlds
Chalice of the Void
or because this seems like a tri-colored format
Chromatic Lantern
Chromatic Star
Darksteel Ingot
Ensnaring Bridge, Mishra's Bauble, and Aether Vial have been ruled out, so expect a price hike on those three.
Aether Vial could still be in if they shave off a multi-colored card and add another artifact as it fits in front of Azorious Signet.
Rares drop 40%, a high demand mythic isn't going to drop from $40 to $20
Doesn't see as much play as it use to with Grim Flayer printed
he's obviously the source if he didn't post one.
Why give credit when you can just take it yourself
The price is going to fall through the roof, probably a $2 card now.

Expect Path to fall to $5 since it's used so much.
Inquisition just got reprinted in Conspiracy, so expect that to fall to about $3
already up $1 from earlier today on TCGplayer

This is just a guess but seems reasonable.
