I agree with everyone else. Library is nuts, but it's still preference. I have it in my nonpowered cube because my playgroup loves it, just like splinter twin combo. I would put Library in the "Mind Twist, Plow Under, Moat, True Name Nemesis" group of unfun/noninteractive cards.
I had the Thespian's SageDark Depths combo in my cube for years and it only worked once. And when it did, the player with the combo died next turn. It's just way too slow and inconsistent.
Nope, Splinter Twin does it too. But that's it.
Only five auras in the entire set by my count (the other two being Arrest and Pillory of the Sleepless, neither of which work too well with the Coronet).
Splinter Twin haha. How could I forget the voltron twin coronet deck
I did about 100 sealed pools. One pool I got about 5 ramp cards worth playing and that was it. You can run a kozelik but that's about it. Your curve is still so important. This is a fast limited format. I had several pools with super Aggro Gruul decks and BG decks that just turn lethal on turn 3 with 5-7 creatures in play. In fact I even opened 4 vampire lacerators in one pool. Could you imagine yourself focusing sololy on ramp then. You can be a fatty deck but you need 9-10 removal counter spells if you are. Bolts remand sun lance
I hope it's not that fast. I know that aggro needs to be supported, but if it's too dominate the format can get boring very quickly =/
Someone asked MaRo why Serum Visions wasn't in. His reply: No Scry in MM2015. Fair enough, but why put Daybreak Coronet in with no other aura's, not a single hexproof creature, and no cards at all that care about aura's whatsoever. The Huge creatures, no ramp/cheat cards is the same idea. I mean, you can draft a load of cathodions and a couple of Bloodthrone vampires... But that's about it, no Growth Spasm, No Awakening Zone, no real ramp cards aside from the eldrazi Drones and a couple of Myr. Weird.
Ya, I agree with you. Fair argument for serum visions, but then the same argument/reason should be applied to coronet. It makes drafting kind of hard because you either take the money mythic, or a playable. And I think most of us will take the money mythic, unless it's a rare redraft.
Dang! Nice eye! I can't believe I missed all those! With all that ramp, do you think the archtype is well support? People are saying this is a fast format.
Good set or bad set. I plan on trying to find a box to draft with friends.
I was playing a game for fun and I'm just wondering if I'm able to perform this interaction for this scenario.
It's my opponent's turn, they go to end step and pass priority. Both of us have a lot of creatures on board, it's a stalemate. My opponent has Reaper of Flight Moonsilver with deliruim online, and a flipped Hermit of the Natterknolls (so a Lone Wolf of the Natterknolls). Also, my opponent only has 4 cards left in their library. I have a Woodcutter's Grit and a Heron's Grace Champion in my hand.
My question is, am I able to cast Woodcutter's Grit on one of my creatures, trigger Lone Wolf of the Natterknolls, hold priority, cast Heron's Grace Champion, trigger Lone Wolf of the Natterknolls, before my opponent can sacrifice Lone Wolf of the Natterknolls to Reaper of Flight Moonsilver, so that they draw 4?
Thanks in advance for the help.
So now that we got the new GP promo, which Stoneforge Mystic?

Now for my question: Which Nekrataal? Christopher Moeller art or Adrian Smith art?
Thanks guys!
So pack foil Snapcaster Mage or rptq https://i.imgur.com/SgKVWaF.jpg ?
All the Ultimate Prices are good, but if I had to pick one, I'd go with FNM
DEFINITELY pack foil Ghostly Prison

According to Sparki, you can get sets for $500!!! I'd wait for MM2 to be opened and see if you can try for $400!
